Time again for "Outdoor Wednesday" hosted by Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer
http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ . Thank you Susan for hosting this weekly event. This time of the year when it get so hot most blooms are pretty well spent, there is one that you can count on to show its beauty - The Crape Myrtle. When out and about the last couple of weeks I would forget to take my camera most of the time - you would think I would have learned by now. I was on a mission today and remembered it and when I pulled in the parking lot, I saw these gorgeous blooms. Never mind where they were located. :-D

And yes, I went inside . Of course, both stores! But Hey - I was good. I did not buy one single thing - Oh but I was tempted. Anyway, I had just left Kirklands, where I did spend a little as I am redoing what is on the wall behind my sofa (another post), and it was on sale.
The sky was such a pretty blue a few days ago.

This is my contribution to "Outdoor Wednesday". If you have not already go over to see what Susan and the other participants have to share.
Hope you are having a great week.
Glenda

I received an email from Kirkland's today...as I am a faithful shopper there...and nearly went to pick up a thingy or two. Alas, I did not go. My wallet says thank you but I would have loved it so much.

Hi Glenda,
ReplyDeleteYour pictures made me chuckle. I got in trouble for taking pictures inside a William Sonoma store, just for my blog. I've gotten in trouble a couple times since at other stores or restaurants. I never thought blogging would be such risky business. The things I go through just to publish a post! Heeheee. Happy OW!
Beautiful photos of the crepe myrtles and in front of two of my favorite stores as well - and a gorgeous blue sky to go with them. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteGlenda,
ReplyDeletethe one in Jackson is closed now...so the one here in Union City is the only one I know of in TN...
What beautiful trees! I don't think we have that type of tree here, but I guess it would survive - I will have to look out for them at the garden centre.
ReplyDeleteWow--I love the color of those crepe myrtles! Thanks for stopping by my blog again. I'm having fun getting to "know" more fellow bloggers.

ReplyDeleteI came this close () to putting crepe murtles in my cart when I was shopping for the 'sanctuary'!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love them. But they die back every year around here and start over each spring.
Thanks for sharing them and that beautiful sky with us.
Look I have to live vicariously through all you bloggers that live in the US. I am in Canada and don't have half the great stores or deals you guys have.
ReplyDeleteYou must shop and buy things for me to whine about. It is all about me.
Glenda, I love crepe myrtles too and these are gorgeous! Also love those stores!!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your comment on my fried corn post. I guess you are right. I'm just a "city-fied" Tennessean! LOL!
Those blooms are beautiful. I definitely would have been tempted to buy something though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, plus my favorite stores. Kirkland is a must visit all the time. I just became a follower also.

Hi Glenda, Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yours is really fun I like all the different subjects and the way you jump from one thing to another! It keeps my attention since I think that is the way my mind works!

Glenda,
ReplyDeleteI don't know which I admired most~the crepe myrtle or the stores behind them!!
I am very much the same as you, I love to go into these stores. Then I see the prices and try to make a graceful exit!! I never really feel deprived because you can find basically the same quality at TJ's or Marshalls.
Loved this post! Happy Outdoor Wednesday, Glenda!! :-)
xoxo
