Outdoor Wednesday

When Wednesday rolls around, its time for "Outdoor Wednesday" hosted by Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. These are some pictures I took at the Farmer's Market on Saturday. The vendor that had gladiolus before, had mainly sunflowers this time.

Aprons, ovenmitts and potholders anyone?

A different entrance than the one I usually go in. By the time I got there some of the outside vendors had already packed up - it was HOT! Lots of people there, but most were inside.

I had just left a bead show - did not stay there to long as it was pretty warm in the building. Don't know if the a/c was not working properly or just so many people there. The place was packed. This is my little contribution to "Outdoor Wednesday". If you have not already, go over to see what Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer and the other participants have to share.

I uploaded the pictures at the wrong size - sorry they are not bigger.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

  1. It looks great, Glenda! Our fields are dull of sunflowers at the moment. Many are in full bloom, but others are already gone over. They are left standing in the fields until the heads are quite dry and then the seeds are harvested to make sunflower oil. Sometimes they set seed and the following year you find sunflowers in a field full of another crop!

  23. Glenda, what a fun day.. I love the sunflowers..they are always so happy.. I too am fond of the deep orange/brown colors in the fall on pumpkins. I've already started pulling fall merchandise out to display in the shop.. it adds a bit of lift on a sad and dreary day.. Thanks for a great Outdoor Wednesday...hugs ~lynne~
