Thrifty Treasure & Met. Monday

Time for "Today's Thrifty Treasure" hosted by Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality http://southernhospitalityblog.com/ and Metamorphosis Monday hosted by Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ . Thank you Rhoda and Susan for hosting these two events.A couple of weeks ago I stopped by a yard/garage sale and found this little lady. The seller wanted $10 for her, but she had
several pieces of wicker that were broken, so I went on to look at other things. I was not sure I could repair her very well, but asked if she would take $5, and she agreed.
Photobucket
Got her home, took out my trusty z6000 glue, dental floss, wire cutters and scissors and went to work. Some of the broken pieces were missing the other end, so most of those got snipped off, then I started glueing and tying in place until the glue dried.
Photobucket
A day or so later, I removed the "stitches".

Then outside to get a new coat of paint.

And Wa - La !
Photobucket As of right now, she will go in the guest room and hold some of the necklaces I have made. I will be looking around for a stand of some kind to sit her on, and I am thinking a plant stand just might work. That is my contribution this week. If you have not already, go over to visit Rhoda and Susan to see what they and the other participants have to share this week. Hope you have a great week.
