Cobalt Blue

Hope you have enjoyed your weekend. We are getting some much needed rain right now, but does not look like it will last very long.

If I had to pick a favorite shade of blue, it would be cobalt blue. Where I use to live, my kitchen was white and cobalt blue. When I moved here I got rid of most of the blue items, but did keep a few things and they are all in the kitchen/dining area. I don't think there is any blue in any of the other rooms.
These are some vases I bought at the Wm. Sonoma outlet many years ago and they have been on top of the china cabinet for several years. Where they rarely got dusted!

Not any longer! I decided they needed a change - I really like the way they look with the light shining thru them, especially in the mornings.

I just remembered some cobalt glasses, pitcher, and bottle I use for a bud vase, but they are tucked away in the cabinet, so I won't bother them. Actually I am to lazy to get them out, photo and add to the mosaic.

    I'm always drawn to cobalt glass and blue in general, though it's not the best blue for me to wear.

    I don't have much blue, but I have always loved cobalt. I'm glad you moved yours...it is very pretty with the light coming through it.

    The cobalt blue pieces are so beautiful. Do people actually regularly dust stuff on top of cabinets? I thought that was a spring cleaning thing. Oh, Glenda, I'm so glad the web thingy didn't get you.

    I'm drawn to cobalt too. I have some blue and white in my kitchen. Just when I think I'm tired of it, all I have to do is take it out then I miss it..

    I adore cobalt blue -- it is so BLUE -- no toying with green or gray or purple for cobalt. It is blue, and danged proud of it!

    That is my favorite shade of blue, too. It's so rich and deep. I just love it! The glass looks really pretty with the sunlight streaming through it, it's nice to enjoy things in new places even if you did have to dust first!

    Glenda.....Your cobalt blue glass is gorgeous. I so not have any blue glass, but my old Picard china pattern is off white with a baby blue ring around the edges...a gift from my mother-in-law. Blue has always been one of my favorite colors, and your makes me wish for more blue things around and about the old house.

    Glenda, there isn't a piece of cobalt blue glass I don't love - and I absolutely love it when the sun hits the glass and that blue glow shines onto the table or cloth.
