It Was Predicted and It Came

Approx. 1:30 pm today..........
Approx. an hour later.........................
Xcuse the magic marker on the ruler . This ruler was used by my children when they were in elementary school and they are now parents them self.
Looks like it has finally stopped snowing and I think we got between 3 1/2 to 4 ins.. I am "guesstamating" that cause I am not going back out in the cold to measure it again.
Opened the back door to take these pictures and the little heater by the door went into shock! Actually it went down to 33, but got back up to 35 by the time I snapped the picture.
Talk about going from one extreme to another -

Yeah! I know - I should be doing something more constructive, but what can I say. Just one of those days. :-D

  2. It's just cold here- in the single digits. brrrr... We spent the entire day vegging in front of the tube catching up on DVR'd shows. Don't know what the rest of the week holds for us, though. Wish it would just get sunny, if nothing else! Stay warm.

  7. That's looks warm and balmy to me Glenda! Just saying, cause we were minus 36 with the wind chill last night.
It's supposed to get up to 40 this weekend and it will feel like 60 if it does!

  8. Had to work today, and hubby took me, thank goodness. Took me an hour and 15 minutes, usually takes 35 minutes. It was just a sheet of ice. How do they do it up North? Bring on the sun and warmer temps.

  9. Just because I deal with it all the time doesn't mean I like it. We are supposed to hit the 50's next week for a few days...Woo Hoo! I hope they are right, I may be out sunbathing (after the ice melts).

  10. I'm glad you didnt' get anymore than that. We had a dusting of an inch or a bit more. The temps have been in single digits and below zero all week, with a promise of warmer temps this w/k and all next week. With all the "piles" of snow around here, the water is going to be running...hugs ~lynne~

  12. I bet they are laughing at us, because we're official weiners when it comes to cold! It's been down in the teens at night for about a week. I'm channeling Jack Nicholson in The Shining!

  13. Hi, Glenda! Wow - you're having some very white weather! I see you also like to 'repurpose' jewelry, so I the snow is a good excuse to stay indoors and create! Have fun with it and thank you for following my blog. :) Robyn

  15. Well, I'm sure ready for some nicer weather!

Now is when we start getting all our big wet snows up here in the Black Hills.

But I guess if I had to chose...

Lots of snow now? Forest fire later?

    I'll take the snow! ;-)

  16. I'm not laughing :) I know when you get snow there it's a much bigger deal because you're not as prepared to deal with it as we are. I like your forecast for next week :)

  17. Hello Glenda,
Thank you for stopping by to visit. Sorry it's too cold were your at. No snow here but we have yucky fog that makes one seem were swimming through mud - so very dangerous too.

    Take care Glenda.

  18. We had 18-20 inches of snow with 1/2 ice underneath. It is still here in big piles. maybe we can put fans on it and use as air conditioners. Stop by and see me soon. Richard at www.myoldhistorichouse.blogspot.com
