Dab of This and That

Grab a hard hat: It is that time of the year again. The squirrels sit up in the hickory nut tree in the late afternoon/early evening and dine on hickory nuts, and my courtyard becomes a war zone. Yesterday the patio was covered in pieces of shell and whole nuts before I hosed it off after their "feeding frenzy" was over for the day.

Project in the works:
A jewelry project I started on a few days ago, but had to clear the table due to other things going on. More on this one later.

And things went round and round: Had things I wanted to get done out and about the last couple of days, but ended up staying close to home. Why? It is that time of the year for ragweed, things start drying out and allergies go crazy . When my allergies really get stirred up, I have issues with fluid in the inner ear - better known as equilibrium problems. In other words - Don't move or tilt head to fast, move slow and keep eyes straight ahead. Do all of the above and then some, or be subject to having your world go spinning without notice. Yuk !
Usually I can tell when it is time to start the allergy meds before it gets this bad, but it slipped up on me this time.

What's up with that ?? I usually use Firefox as my main browser, and for some reason it has crashed on me several times lately. Is it happening to anyone else or am I being picked on ? :-D

Sort of a short post - most things going on lately are not post worthy.

Just another Dab of This and That !
Hard to believe that it is September already ! Where did this Summer go ?!?
Hope you have a very enjoyable and safe holiday weekend !

I switch between Google Chrome and Firefox. Haven't had a prob. with Firefox yet...knock on wood!

Mother Nature forgot to tell St Louis it is September. We have had triple digit temps the past two days, so we have stayed close to home too!

I get Fall allergies too, been waking up with the headache and sneezing a bit early this year. Google chrome has been crashing on me.

Glenda I have the same exact allergy problem! I get sooo light headed and it makes me feel awful! I thought I had a brain tumor or something but my doc said nope it's just allergies. Sure beats a tumor but still it sucks.
Those little squirrel buddies sure are cute but what a mess!! Looking forward to seeing your next jewelry project. Vanna

Hey Glenda

I've switched to Chrome and then switched back to FF - like it better.

Enjoy the holiday weekend!

Google Chrome is my choice and it works with no problems, she says fingers crossed. I had to Google hickory nuts as I had never heard of them.
Thanks for visiting News From Italy, I hope you will be calling by again :)

I can't wait to see what you do with that, Glenda. I always enjoy seeing the jewelry you make. I need to make more too instead of buying...Christine

Hi Glenda,

Hickory trees are beautiful in nature but a nightmare near a home -- I've been there! Sorry you're having to deal with the mess and the real danger of being hit on the head whenever you step outside! My allergies are acting up too. Didn't we just finish with spring allergies???

Wishing you a happy weekend,
Bill

I had to chuckle at your "hard hat" warning. Ha!!
So sorry about the allergy issues. My friend swears by Zyrtec???
Take care,
M.L.

Every fall, the sniffles and the clogged head start up. This part of Ohio is known as sinus valley! I end up coughing because I drain so much. ICK! Enjoy your break, however long it is. I'm trying to catch up with comments and some reading. It is a lost cause... LOL
