Finally - Getting With the Program

While snooping around the land of blog, I noticed how so many have already decorated for Fall, or at least started doing so. So I decided I needed to get with the program or might as well just wait until time to decorate for Christmas. Not a lot of creativity going on, on the dining table, as I used the same items I used a couple of years ago.
Even replaced the daisy on the tieback with a burgundy colored mum.
Also used items I already had on hand to add a touch of Fall to the counter. The candle has a "yummylicious" lemon smell. Not a Fall scent , but works for me.....
May or may not add a bit more around the house later on.

ETA: My Fall header was made up from some photos I took a couple of years ago. You can see in the middle pic, this years table is almost identical.

  2. You're way ahead of me. When our temps drop another 20 degrees I might get into the fall spirit.
Such a pretty table setting you've created. Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. Good for you, Glenda! I haven't even started. I think I'm still clinging on to summer. I did see some mums yesterday and I thought seriously about purchasing them! Does that count?

Thanks so much for joining in!

  7. I haven't even begun to do the fall decorating and I was noticing today that one of the powder rooms has a branch of cherry blossoms in it!!! Oh dear!! Maybe I can just leave it out for next spring. I also like citrus candles. Linda

  8. I haven't done one bit of fall decorating!! I'm busy with the outside. I feel like we're going to get an early (and long)winter. So I want to get my plants and veggies in the ground before I do anything inside.

  9. I don't have one fall-related thing yet. The stores are filled with mums, pumpkins, etc., but I think I'll wait another week or so. I'm just not feeling it yet :)

  11. Your table centerpiece is very pretty with the mirror and ceramic pumpkins. I've been decorating for about a week. At first, it felt early; with the cold snap, it feels right on time.

  16. It looks great Glenda! I love this season and am soo glad that it's finally here. So yes, I'm in full fall mode for decorating. I even started to add some Halloween things too - I have 2 nieces coming on Sunday for the day and wanted to make the house festive!

    Love your header too!

  17. Using what you already have is wonderful, and it all looks fabulous. I am not doing a lot either. Trying to learn the art of restraint. That is hard. Thanks tone for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  18. Your table looks very fall-ish. I'm glad others are decorating already so I can get some ideas. It's been so warm and sunny here that we're hanging onto sunshine for as long as we can. I haven't really started fall decorating yet.

  19. Love your touches of Fall Glenda. And you take such great pictures! I'm totally lacking in that department. I haven't even begun to think about decorating for Fall yet and at this rate I might even miss out on Christmas!

  22. I haven't yet started my fall decorating, Glenda, but I'm getting very inspired by the beautiful images I've seen here and on others' blogs! I think this weekend I'll start to bring out the autumn finery. Take care!

  23. It looks pretty odd at my house. I got out the fall things, but I left room for the Halloween things and I haven't gotten them out of the storage room yet. So, I have lots of empty spots!

  24. Just when I finish for Fall It'll be time to turn around and decorate for Halloween. lol! Oh well, it will be needing a good dusting by then. I think your Fall vignette turned out lovely. Doesn't matter if we use items from year to year. I have cherished things that I just can't part with. The Mum tieback was a clever idea. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

    Jann
