Not a lot going on in the courtyard now days. A few blooms here and there, but most of the annuals are giving it up . I got two pots of mums a couple of weeks ago, and one of them is already looking pretty sad - sure wish they would last longer.
The ferns and wax begonias will probably last until the first hard frost. The begonias have not looked real spiffy for a while due to the hot/dry Summer, even tho I kept them watered.
Fall shadows are so different than any other time of the year.......
A few pots of impatiences still hanging around, but won't be for much longer."Outdoor Wednesday".
Have a great week!
Glenda
Lovely flowers and I like how you worked the pumpkins and Fall in!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely...yellow mums and orange pumpkins are the perfect combination! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteYour courtyard is always so pretty. I always love seeing pics of it.
ReplyDeleteAll my annual flowers have been killed by frost:( Yours still look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have had the same wax begonias for three years straight...They dye down in the winter, and come back up. I have them in a shady spot... do you have yours planted in some shade?
ReplyDeletePretty Mums, Glenda. I agree. It just doesn't seem worth buying mums, since I don't seem to be able to keep them alive for long. Have a good week. laurie
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to see the summer annuals die down now, but the fall colour is pretty, too. You've done well incorporating the fall into your summer flowers.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Glenda.
I am so grateful for the mums at this time of year when all the annuals have died back, thought there are still some impatience blooming bravely on the veranda.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are pretty, ours have giving up after having a frost. A colorful post and photos. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad to see the summer containers after a frost. I just emptied mine and took out the summer bulbs out of the ground. your photos are lovely. Valerie

Love the lantern and sweet rabbit sitting on your patio table. My flowers are looking rather sad right now too. I am trying to enjoy them until the bitter end.

Wonderful fall going on in your yard! My plants have all been touched by the freezes we have had so pretty much done for the year -
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty remake on those earrings too in the previous post!!
Wow Glenda - your flowers are all still vibrant! Love the bright colors!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy them while they last!

Love the pics, and your mums look way better than mine!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos and such a pretty garden you have. Love all the foliage.
ReplyDeleteYour courtyard does not look bad at all, Glenda. Have a great week!...Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and fall decor ~ great presentation ~ ( A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteYour courtyard is gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are still looking lovely! Great pictures Glenda.
ReplyDeleteWe had a hard frost here while we were gone, so things that were still in beautiful bloom when we left were completely brown and dead when we got home. The mums were fine...ours last all fall. My husband waters most nights and we have them in pots that have good drainage. A local store sells some really beautiful, healthy ones for only $6.99 each and we usually plant them at the end of the season and enjoy them in the yard the next year.
ReplyDeleteYour header looks great too. I had a hard time figuring out how to change mine with the new format...but, I eventually got it done.
how very pretty come see what I shared at http://shopannies.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteOur mums look very sad too because of cool nights and hot days. Nice fall post.
