Ooops !

Think I may have started a pyrex addiction here!  During one of my decluttering episodes, I gave one of my daughters these 2 pieces...
Then  she found these 2 matching dishes.  Actually, I had one of the divided dishes at one time also.  Was thinking it might have been broken, but now think I remember selling it  in a yard sale many years ago.  Never used it, and never thought about what it might be worth years later.
Now she has a set !

And has started another color set...
Said she was looking for more of the turquoise, but most has been pricey.    It is  a perfect addition  to their "kitchen redo".  Posted about "here".
Their plans are to leave some of the upper cabinets open to display their collection.
Yep!  Looks like someone is hooked.....

  1. I've added to my pyrex over the years. I don't have a bit of turquoise though. I have the olive green nesting mixing bowls and use them a lot. Also have some gold and a few other pieces.

I love pyrex and your mosaics, Glenda!

  4. Nice pictures--reminder of the old pyrex, which I still use all the time. i am guessing that the turquoise would be pricier and harder to find as it's such a popular color. When I find pieces in resale shops I'm surprised at how costly they are.

  8. Our granddaughter, Tiffany, has started collecting things that I collect and it is so funny. She has always hasseled me about so much little stuff and now she has started doing the same thing.

    Funny, eh?

  11. Oh the ones that got away! I wish I had several of my bowls back, but I use the ones I still have several times a week.

  14. I used to see pyrex everywhere, I guess it has become such a collectable now that it is rare to see it these days! Who would have thunk right? lol

  15. Hmmmm, looks like I'd better have a look in the attic! Most of mine or my mothers were the gold color but I love the turquoise. I'll have to check eBay to see what they're getting for them :)

  16. I think I kept all of the wrong things. I only wish one of my kids wanted any of my stuff. My daughter wants a few things, but we are starting to think about a big move and just how much we have to find a way to get rid of. It is overwhelming! I hope that I will be inspired to get to work on it if the weather ever perks me up. I felt so much better in the sunshine in Florida!

  18. Yup! Hook, line, and sinker! I'm another fish that has taken the bait. lol! I am wanting to put glass in two of my upstairs cabinets to display mine in. I found another blue piece at a thrift last week that matches one I had. Not aqua, but still a pretty shade of blue. Thanks for sharing with SYC. Oh, I have a couple of the green design pieces.
    hugs,
