Spring Blooms...

Some pictures I took a few days ago.  They speak for them self......
Had planned to retake and try for better pics of the azalea, but waited to long as the storms rolled thru, and right now they are beaten down from the heavy rain and wind. Hoping with a couple days of sunshine, and warm temps they will spring back to life.

She is on a "Junkin" Roll...

My daughter recently spent a little time  "junkin" for vintage treasures again.
Turquoise TW bowl that will blend in quite well with her kitchen redo.
I think she said she paid 25cts.  No lid, but maybe will find one another time.
6 pyrex old town blue cups -  total $1.50
1 pyrex cup with butterfly pattern to go with one she found recently, and a anchor hocking milk glass mug  with a  strawberry pattern on the right.  She found one, but will be on the hunt for more.  I thought I would check around and see what I could find, and found one. One cup at $14.99 BIN !!!    Think I will keep looking. :)
2 mugs - 25cts. ea.
4 of these with a daffodil pattern - no markings, and so far she and I  have not been able to find any like them in our research.  Anyone happen to know anything about the maker, pattern, time period, etc.??  We both think they are from the 60's or 70's.
4 for $1.00 total.
Milk glass compote  to keep the other one company she scored recently - 50cts.
1972 SL party cookbook and 1974  BH and G snacks and appetizers cookbook - 50 cts. ea.
Total spent - $4.75.
Oh - A little side note:   When she tells the redhead cupid they are going "junkin", she gets excited and says "treasures".  Oh - they do learn early.
I am being optimistic and going to attempt to link up with the following events, but have a busy week ahead, so will see how it goes.

She Has Been "Junkin" Again....

A recent stop at GW, daughter added a few pieces to her vintage collection.
1971 King Seeley thermos.
1980 SL cookbook. She found several neatly, handwritten recipes tucked inside the book.
I have looked every where I know to look trying to find info. on the milk glass compote, as far as age, value, etc., and could not find one with the exact same pattern. Found many similar with a very wide price range.
Also, a pyrex cup to add to her on going collection,  and a wire basket with wooden handle that  is a reproduction, but will fit right in with her country/vintage/retro kitchen look.

thermos          .99
                                                           cookbook      l.99
                                                          wire basket   2.00
                                                          Pyrex mug      .49
                                                 milk glass compote  .99
Looks like she found some treasures.
Yep!  I'd say she had a pretty successful "junkin" trip.
How about you - Been "junkin" lately ?
