Springtime in the Courtyard

I had planned to take my camera for a walk today and take pictures of all the beautiful azaleas in bloom, but the wind is blowing so did not think many would turn out well.
Instead, I will share what is blooming in my courtyard right now. I potted annuals Friday, and still have a few more to fill. Will go one day this next week to get more - not sure just what.
No, that is not a helicopter in the sky - The carpenter bees are back!

Last year both of the azaleas bloomed at the same time and were beautiful. This year one has no buds at all - maybe a few tiny ones, and this is all the other one did.

Left the hook on the impatiens for now, as don't know if I will end up hanging them - depends on what I get this week.
I am linking up with Mary @ "Mosaic Monday"
and Susan @ "Outdoor Wednesday"

Have a great week!
Glenda

  1. Pretty, pretty! I need to plant something with color. Thanks for the inspiration, Glenda. I guess your yard survived last week's terrible weather.

  5. I've enjoyed seeing your plantings and knowing how things are going in your corner. This is the work that I can not begin until the end of May so it's very nice to see your flowers. Carpenter bees? They don't sound at all nice.

  13. The flowers are gorgeous. We haven't bought any yet. I was afraid it was a bit early and with our Saturdays taken up with nursing home visits and the work we've been doing inside the house...we just haven't found the time to go to the nursery yet. Your photos make me want to find the time!

Your courtyard is always so pretty!
