Thought I would join the "Cloche Party" hosted by Marty @ http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/. I wanted a cloche for a long time but just could not bring myself to pay the price. Finally bought one at a shop in Franklin, TN last Fall at a good price, and love decorating with it. This what it looks like now
A close up. Don't know why the glass looks cloudy.
This is how I had it decorated for Christmas and Winter.
This beauty is one I found at Tues. Morning in April. I don't have anything under the glass - I have tried different things, but always take it out, The glass has a design etched in it, and I think it is pretty as it is for now (I already had the stand).
Not a cloche (individul butter dish) :-), but I put a peep under the dome at Easter time. I have a battery op. candle under there now.
I understand apothocary jars are allowed also. One with Shells - I used rubons to spell out shells. The other has a bit of faux ivy and a faux butterfly.
Little vignette in my dining area window.
I have another apothocary jar that is a little larger, but nothing decorative in it right now - just some candy.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing my decor under glass. If you have not already, lets all join Marty @ http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/ to see what she and the other participants have to share. Thanks Marty for hosting this fun event. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's decor under glass.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Everything just looks great! Thanks for sharing.
I do know why they are so expensive I think it is the shipping and cost plus some mark up. I agree they are pricey. I like how you decorated with them. I have just used a large square of burlap inside and it looks nice, and also I turned it upside down and fill it with old bobbins (put a plate on it and turned right side up) looks great!! Sandi
They are all beautiful!!
I'm having the best time at this cloche party!!
This is so much fun looking at everyone's cloches- no 2 the same!
I have those same sweet little birds! I am going to have to round them up for one of my cloches!

I definitely enjoyed seeing your decor under glass! I too often think I would like a cloche but I'm just not sure where to put it. All your glass looks so pretty Glenda. Very cottage chic.

Hi Glenda,
I think I saw that etched cloche at Tuesday Mornings. It sure is pretty. What fun seeing all these cloche/jar ideas are!!
Those are so pretty. I think I will have to get one. Just never think about them.
These jars are so pretty in and of themselves that they really don't even need anything in them! You have put some pretty displays together here. Thanks so much for sharing and being at the party!

What great ideas and I love them all. The large one with the birdnest is stunning and the etched one empty is beautiful. It really is pretty all by itself. Your apothecary jar is beautiful. I think they are so fun to fill and so pretty to look at with all the different ideas everyone has. Very inspiring and creative. The tiny one with the little peep or the candle is so cute. Thanks so much for participating. Such fun. Hugs, Marty
Very pretty Glenda!
I love all your cloche ideas but you know what I really do like the empty one the best. How lovely and elegant. Isn't the stand from SL wonderful?

I love your cloche :) I didn't buy one for a long time either because they are pricey at all these boutiques and antique stores but Pier1 Imports had them for $20 dollars! Yay. Lovely apothecary jar and cloches!
All the best,
Allison
All your cloches look fantastic. Sometimes my glass pieces look cloudy too. A little windex will take care of it though! Great job.

You have done a lot of neat looks with your cloches. I really like how you added the word “shells” to the front of one.
