Thrifty Buys & Show and Tell

I wanted to share a couple of things I bought recently at a dollar store that is going out of business. I really like this candle holder with the frosted winter scene of a child pulling a sled on each side. I put a tea lite in a blue holder and that is what is creating the blue glow. Can't locate the ticket to find out exactly what I ended up paying for this, but it was not a lot - everything in the store was on sale.

Also got this basket (really not deep enough to be a basket) covered in moss, and small pine cones and will probably use it in an Easter decoration. I bought a smaller one like this also, but forgot to take a picture of it. It is pretty good size, unusual and got it for $5.40.

The dollar store is going out of business? That seems odd in this economy.

Hi Glenda,
You found some great stuff! That basket is very unique, wouldn't it look great with a bird's nest sitting in it? or some eggs at Eastertime.
