My First Mosaic!

Uh - Oh ! ! I think I have done messed up! I decided to try Picasa ! I can't believe the amount of time I have spent on this computer today - Shame on me! Welllll - At least it was a dreary and gray day, so I don't feel to bad about what I did. I have a lot to learn, but I did figure out how to make a mosaic. Since I think most everyone is looking forward to Spring and pretty flowers, I dug around in my photos from last Spring and picked out a few to work with and this is the out come. Enjoy ! !

Photobucket
I will be linking up with Mosaic Monday hosted by Mary @ Little Red House http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/
I have a question! When I am composing a post while using Firefox, I am not able to post a link to another blog. I have to log in on Internet Explorer to edit the post and add the link. Does anyone know why, and is there something I can do to cure the problem? Your help would be very much appreciated. I googled for help, but guess I was not wording it right, because I could not come up with a solution. Thanks in advance. SEE BELOW FOR UPDATE!

Now - Off to change all the clocks in the house ! Yay!!! We Spring forward tonight! Can you tell I am excited? :-D
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Glenda
ETA: M.L> @ The House of Whimsy came to my rescue. I had forgotten all about the little "link" icon on the Posting screen, because IE would link it automatically if the http:// address was typed in correctly. However, Firefox does NOT create a link automatically when composing a post. I started using FF mainly a while back, since I was getting so many "Not Responding" messages on IE when trying to open a new window. One of the many differences between FF and IE. Many thanks to M.L. for jogging my memory - of course if I would remember to look at my Notes on "How To" it would help. :-D

Beautiful mosaic, Glenda! Great job!

I don't know what the problem is with linking on Firefox. Wish I did.

Hope your weekend is going well. It's gloomy and foggy here, too. We sure enjoyed those sunny days while they lasted.

Oh, oh, oh. I love your mosaic. Come on spring! I was a software programmer for over 20 years, but I'm as dumb as a rock when it comes to these PC's and the internet. I can say that there are a lot of software errors in the PC and on the internet, but my knowledge is old and outdated. Good luck, and I hope someone can help you out.

Great job, Glenda! Pretty, springy and fresh! And you didn't waste time today on the computer, you learned something, probably several somethings and that's always worth the time! :)

Glenda, the mosaic is beautiful. I know what you mean about Picassa, love it!! I also figured out their mosaic feature, I love it! I still need to figure out some other other features. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my black cabinet. It was a big job, but i am happy with the result. Do you think I should line the inside of it with some decoritive paper or something else? Would love your ideas. Hugs, marla

When I'm in Firefox, there's a very light (+) sign to the right of the title of the Site you're on (top left). If you click on the small (+) sign, that allows you to open a brand new tab. That way, you can search for a new Site and be on two Sites at once and then just click back and forth. I hope this helps. And your Mosaic is stunning. : )

Beautiful job!
Have you ever tried photoscape? It is another program like Picassa...
You may want to save that for another rainy day.

Glenda, Do you use Live Writer to post or are you still using Blogger? I use Firefox as my browser and Writer and have no issues at all. Writer just gives me so many more options than Blogger and I've used it for almost a year w/no issues.
Love the mosaic and all the flowers. I used Picasa a couple of times for mine, but since have forgotten how to do the mosaics, since I seldom use them for anything. I need to get back to it again, I guess. D
on't forget to find something to post for Rhoda's party this week. Or you can just go shopping this week and come back to show us all your goodies next week! LOL We love to shop, don't we? tee hee
hugs, Sue

Oh ok, then what you do is get in the new tab (the one you want to link to) cut and paste that address in the "link box" on your Blog (in the first tab. However, be sure to always remove that http:// that's always sitting there, first or else the http:// will be in there twice and the link won't work.
Let me know if this works. : )

I don't know the answer to your Firefox question, but I know that I can't open pdf attachments in Mozilla or Google Chrome. I have to bring them up in Internet Explorer. Kind of inconvenient! Now, as for the mosaic, pretty flowers. . .

Glenda-You HAVE been playing on the computer! :) Really, time can just slip away before you know it. Your mosaic is beautiful and gives me hope! Your "talking" squirrels are cute! I am tired of cold and gray. Spent the weekend painting at my daughter's house--not many rooms left :)

Hi Glenda, try using Windows Live Writer to post...it is a free little program and simplifies posting so much. I've used it for a long time and I could never go back to the blogger template!!!
Love that mosaic, I need some sunshine and flowers!!!

Just beautiful! I could only dream to grow flowers like that……I have a brown thumb.

I’m happy to hear that someone is excited to springing forward. I was not too pleased to lose an hour of sleep but I do enjoy the longer days.
