I Wonder if a Blogger Wrote This

Photobucket

This little poem has been floating around for years........
Cleaning Poem

I asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess.
He asked if I'd been "computering",
And I had to answer 'yes.'

He told me to get off my fanny,
And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.

I wiped and shined the topside..
That really did the trick.....
I was just admiring my good work.
I didn't mean to "click".

But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.

Nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's very, very shiny.
I guess my house will stay a mess.......
While I sit here on my hiney.
Author Unknown To Me.

That poem seems to apply to me lately. I am blaming it on "Spring Fever" ! Yep!! That is what it is !
I have a lot that needs to be done, many things coming up in the near future that must be done, and here I sit. It is like a "lazy streak" has taken over my body. Maybe I need to double up on vitamins, B12, shift gears and see if I can get this body and mind moving.

Daughter and family will be back Friday, and I will have a house full for dinner Friday night. Do you think I have a menu planned - Nope! The idea of picking up BBQ and the "fixins" sounds better every minute.

More bad weather predicted for late this evening into tomorrow. :(

Have a good one!
Glenda

I LOVE it! So cute. I know how you feel to be a bit "lazy" in the cleaning department. And I don't have my menu planned either. Happy Easter.

Glenda that poem is so perfect and so true!! I can't tell you how many times I've meant to clean my house but clicked for just a second and got sucked in! My friend Laura says I suffer from "lazyism" LOL! And I do! *winks* Girlfriend I LOVE your new blog header! Where is that bower of beauty located? Vanna

Uh-Oh---who's been peeking in my windows. Blogging is just like the "coffee-klatches" of our mother's generation. It's so much fun visiting with everyone.

That poem is the epitome of my life right now, no motivation for all the spring things that need to be done!

I think a friend of mine in Indiana must have written that poem. lol If she didn't, she could have.

We had some storms from what I hear last night midnight to three. I slept through them. I woke up once to thunder but it didn't grab my attention. How about you? Anything fierce in your area? Blessings,

I tend to check emails and basic stuff in the mornings. Then...I do the house stuff. I go back to the computer when it is done...but sometimes I'm too sleepy and have to wait for "second wind" to keep going.

We survived the storms last night, but it got pretty scary for sure.

Does the word "addiction" mean anything to anyone? LOL When I'm home, I take little bloggy breaks just to "check on something." That minute break turns into a several hour foray into cyber world.... And yes, the hiney is, indeed, expanding.
Have a Happy Easter, Glenda!

I love that Glenda! And it is soooo ME too! Your flower photo is beautiful. Hope you survived all of the wind last night, and I hope we don't have more problems tonight, but I'm hearing thunder now. laurie

I love it! I think we can all relate to that. Come to think of it, my house could use some attention, but that's no fun.
