Necklace and Charm Bracelet

When granddaughter was here in March, she was looking at my stash of jewelry supplies, and said she liked this cameo. Told her I would make her a necklace and have it ready for her when she returned, so it went from this.......
to this. I kept it pretty simple, as she is a tween.

I also made her a fun charm bracelet . Did not realize I did not take a before until it was finished.

Photobucket
I gave them to her when she arrived Thursday, and grandson asked if I could make him something for a boy. I did not have anything I thought would work, so he got money instead. Everyone is happy ! :D

Will be linking up with Susan @ "Metamorphosis Monday"
and Mary @ "Mosaic Monday"

House is quiet, as daughter and family left for home, so will swiffer the crumbs, vacuum the carpet and call it good. They will be back in less than a week.

You did a beautiful job, Glenda! I have a thing for cameos. My DH gave me a beautiful green one, I think I'd have to share it. It really is gorgeous!

Hi Glenda!
That is so cute about your grandson wanting something and you giving him money. One year at halloween we had two trick or treaters come to our door and we had no candy to give out (because we live in a small neighborhood and had never had any in the previous years) My husband gave each a huge handful of quarters and the little boy screamed "I didn't want no money, I want candy" I laughed so hard, because he could have bought so much candy with that money my husband gave him! Have a beautiful week with the grandchildren!!!!

How neat it must be to have such a "hip grandma", to make things and give money! I know you will miss them until their return.

Oh Glenda, these are beautiful. I know your granddaughter will cherish these pieces always. I'm sure your grandson was just as happy with the money, that was a good idea. I really like the picture of the charm bracelet around the little bird.

I'm sure she will treasure it forever and the nice thing is that while it works for her now, it can grow up with her. Boys are hard...but, always happy with money:)

I'm going to try to catch up a little today. We survived yesterday and the weather was good. I'm so glad it wasn't today...we are blowing away!

It looks like you really put some cool stuff on the charm bracelet! I have never tried anything like that---maybe this will fire me up!

And I'm sure the grandson loved the $$$ as well.... ;-)
