The Life of a Dining Table

Nothing exciting going on in the category of decorating, redos, repurposing in my abode these days. I was going thru some pictures and realized how many looks my dining table has been thru since the first of the year.
Shortly after the holidays - makeshift jewelry studio....
The promise of Spring came along........
then moved the cloche to the table behind loveseat, so the container of cherries returned.
I did a mosaic of the changes over a years time, back in September 2010, but the pictures were much more "tidy" than these. So....Will skip that process this time around.
Next week there is no telling what it will look like. This is the one spot in my home that gets changed out the most, and more often than not is in a mess!

I am linking up with:
Susan @ "Metamorphosis Monday"
Marty @ "Table Top Tuesday"
Be sure and visit these ladies to see what they and the other participants have to share with us this week.

Have a great week.
Glenda

Glenda your table looks great. Our dining table is the resting place for books going back to library, receipts things taken back to the store, purse....you name it it goes on the table. Oh my if you could see it now with trying to get this front room done!!!!! Actually the whole house has just been put on hold while I am working at snails pace on the room.

Have a great week!

I can't believe I've missed so many of your posts...I've decided that dining room tables are just junk catchers at my house...everything that comes in the house lands there...Your table is beautiful and I don't blame your daughter for hijacking your plates...they are great!!!
It is storming here again...we may have to look into "webbed feet"...

Funny how dining tables become great 'collecting" spots.

I envy your clear dining room table and wish I had an inch of space. Have to get those flea market finds in boxes...yes I do! :)

That's a very busy table, Glenda. If it were a person, it will never experience boredom. Love your centerpieces!....Christine

I just bought that cloche at a local flea market (it was new so not cheap, but, hey I had to have it!) Thanks for sharing!

Love that you "use" your DR table too. Soo many people just use it for special occasion. What I don't show is Mr Old Parsonage using ours for his fly tying:)

Enjoy your week!

I think it's great that your lovely table is USED, and isn't roped off and kept sacred. :-)

And what better use can a table have than as a platform for making jewelry? I used to cut patterns out on my dining room table; that accounted for the fine scratched patina!

Your table still looks good even when you're deep in "creative mode."

It looks great all the time I see...mine has a big cuuting mat on it right now...I had to fold back my table runner and my easter flowers still look great on it....come to think about it...that cutting mat is on the table most of the time!!

Everyone has to have a spot where they can spread out and leave a mess now and then. You should see my desk right now!

BTW, the garbanzo burgers weren't dry at all - especially with the tomato and avocado filling. Probably a lot less dry than bread would be ;)

Well whatever's going on your table looks great to me! And you have to admit that was one good investment because you use it all the time. *winks* I can tell you the tables in my house that are used often do NOT look anywhere near as beautifully kept as your table! Vanna

I seem to be changing my dining table all the time too. Of course since my kitchen, dining and living rooms are all one big room...it gets used for any and all things!

Mostly I just try to keep from using it as a place to stack things!

I love changing things and every one of your changes are fabulous. Of course I am a cloche nut, so I loved that one a lot. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
