Dab of This and That

Think my creativity took a hike.
I don't know if I am getting lazy these days, or if it is because it has been such a HOT Summer (Yeah! I will blame it on the heat ! ) , but I feel my need to be productive/creative these days went on an extended vacation without me. I started on the decluttering/clean out project again and ended up walking away from it all. As a result I have boxes and sacks of treasures (junk) that need to be hauled to the car for a trip to GW (after daughter goes thru it to see if she wants anything). No - It is not that bad - just don't want to deal with it for some reason.

Pulled out jewelry making supplies and started on a necklace, and after a short time, I walked off and started something else. End result at this point - A cluttered dining table that needs to be cleared for a place to sit down to eat.

Sat down, turned on the computer and looked up at a glass door that desperately needed to be cleaned. So what do I do - I continue sitting here (on the computer). Checking to see what all the "creative bloggers" are doing out there, and wondering "where do you get all your creativity/energy from" ?

It is not suppose to be quiet so hot, and lower humidity the next several days, so hope to be outside more and soaking up some Vitamin D. Maybe that will help get me more motivated and get the creative juices flowing again.

Just another Dab of This and That !
Have a great weekend!
Glenda

I am blaming my lack of get up and go to the heat. We've had some wonderful mornings the last few days. By noon I am ready for a nap, though.

I have a bunch of shoes that need culling. I've been saying that since Spring!! They are right there, on the closet floor....waiting.

Oh I can so relate. We have been between 110 and 116 for the whole month of Aug. and I am so sick of the heat and being stuck inside. Just don't really want to do anything. Hopefully cooler weather will motivate us all. Hugs, Marty

Glenda are you my clone? *winks* I have so many projects and to be honest just plain cleaning that I NEED to do, but for some reason I just can't be bothered *sighs* And although it's hot for here (at 81) I can't really blame the weather either. I'm a tired out lazy ole pooped princess! Lol! I need to invite a lot of people over because that's the only thing lately that kicks my husband an I into high gear. Vanna

I do exactly the same thing, start one thing and then move on prematurely to the next! It's maddending sometimes, but it's who I am, I guess! It'll all get done, eventually! (At least that's what I keep telling myself.)

It happens to me all the time. So many things to do and then I just get overwhelmed. This is what happens with creative minds, our actions can't keep up with our thoughts.

i get that way a lot but then again it seems like we all do. Tonight though I've been on the computer since 9:30. Oh well I can if I want to:)

Enjoy the sun!

It is the heat Glenda! Hopefully we will see some relief, and all of that creative energy will come rushing back!

Wow, I feel the same way. I have about 6 projects started and can't sit long enough to work on any of them. You watch, that first burst of cool air will invigorate us - we will be unstoppable.

I don't seem to get much done in the summer, other than trying to keep my garden and plants watered. I think summer is for relaxing and enjoying the weather (if it's not too hot). I'll start tackling some projects when the weather outside is cooler! I have many so many things I want to do and everyday stuff seems to get in the way much of the time.

I certainly hear you on this one. I'm fine with keeping up with the regular housework, laundry and day to day stuff. I'm just nuts enough to really like to have things in order. But, as far as changing things around, working on projects, cleaning out the storage room and a couple of closets to get ready for a garage sale...lazy, not interested! I'm hoping that cooler weather and the thought of putting out fall things will get me in gear. If it doesn't my blog is certainly going to be boring!
