I Will Be Taking a Break

I will be taking a break from blogging for a while . How Long? I don't know at this point in time.
No picture for this post - I no longer have a camera. Necklace I started (previous post) won't be finished, my jewelry supplies, including the containers of vintage pieces are gone. I am not typing this post on my laptop, because I no longer own one, and the list goes on.
Long story made short - I locked up my home and left to run a couple of errands and when I returned, I found that my home had been broken into.
Have a fun and safe weekend.
Mine is off to a rough start - will be back when I can.
Glenda

Glenda I am so sorry! I've been burglarized more than once and I know how awful it is! You're going through a lot right now but please know that it does get better. Things are just things. You're OK and that's what matters. I know it sounds cliche, but bottom line is that that's what's really what's important. My heart goes out to you, friend, at this difficult time. Hang in there.

So sorry that this happened to you. I do know the feeling, although my experience wasn't as bad as yours. I came home to find that our home had been broken into, this happened several years ago.... they didn't take anything because when they broke the door open the alarm went off and they took off as well. We were left with our door broken is all. I say that's all but even though they were not able to take anything you feel very violated to know that someone has been in your home. I was really scared to be at home alone for a quite a while, but it did pass with time! The main thing is that your ok and that you were not home when it happened! I advise everyone to get an alarm. I feel much safer having one!

Oh Glenda!!! I am so sorry. I certainly understand the break, but you will be missed. We will all be here when you get back. Keep us updated.
So glad you are ok, and that you did not walk in on them. People are soooo evil these days.

Oh I am so sorry! I know that feeling! I lived with my uncle for a time in FL, and after a camping trip we came home to a ransacked home..a truly horrid, violated feeling..they went through our things! Stole our stuff!

I am so sorry!
It takes time to recover from this traumatic happening. Remember you have friends in blog sphere to help you through if you so desire...

Thank God no one was in the house or hurt! Thinking of you...

Oh Glenda...
I don't and never will understand how anyone can do that to another person. I'm so saddened that this happened to you! How frightening to come home to that! Take care there...

Oh Glenda, words can't even express how shocked I am to hear this and how sorry I am that this happened to you! I can't even type what I really want to say about the $*%@@#"*&% people who did this. I hope YOU are OK. We'll all be here and I hope you're able to put the pieces back together again soon. My prayers are with you my friend.

Oh, Glenda. I am so sorry about your break-in. We had it happen once, too. So terrible. I hope you can get your things replaced soon. I know it just makes you mad that someone would do this. Hurry back.

I am so sorry to hear this Glenda. How terrible for you but I am so thankful you were out when it happened so you were not hurt physically. Although the hurt is there anyway as you feel violated when someone invades your home.I do hope they catch them and that you will be back with us soon.

I was taking care of my parents place (I live right next door). In the late evening I let the dog out and even though small she barked and barked. Next day I saw my parents door was busted and called the police. It is such a violation and I kept wondering if they would come back. They never did thankfully. I'm so sorry this has happened to you.

That is so sad, Glenda! I'm just glad that the low-life was not in the house when you returned. It breaks my heart to know that there are people out there that don't have a heart in their bodies.

At least you're safe and that's the most important thing.

Oh Glenda, I'm so sorry! How horrible! I am glad you're okay though. Did they ransack the place? Do the police have any ideas about who might have done it? I just hate that this happened to you. laurie

OH Dear Glenda, I am sooo very sorry to hear that. This just makes me so angry to hear these thugs do these things to hard working people. At least you are OK and no harm done to you personally. I know what an invasion that must feel like. Take care of yourself.

I'm sorry to hear this. It is such a shame that some people think that they have a right to take other people's hard earned possessions. Remember there are many more kind caring people than there are cruel careless ones like those thieves. Take care of yourself.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. I had my car stolen once and I can't describe how violated it feels. Again, I'm sooo sorry. :(

Oh no. I feel sick for you. We were robbed a few years ago, but luckily (I guess) it was our car at a hotel on the way to Florida. It had 2 weeks worth of clothing, all of our Christmas presents and electronics but at least it wasn't my house. I remember how violated I felt at first and how difficult it was to figure out what all was gone to turn into the insurance company. In the end, we did end up with many new things and we realized how lucky we were that one of us hadn't caught the guy doing it and maybe been hurt. Focus on that if you can...I'm so glad you are okay. I remember saying over and over again..."stuff is just stuff" until I believed it. Sending you a hug. S.

Oh I am so sorry, Glenda. How terrible! I hate those kind of people! But anyway, whatever they took are only material things. I am glad you are ok, Those things can be replaced. We were broken into also when we lived in an apartment which prompted us to buy our first house so something good came out of it. I hope something good comes out for you too....Christine
