Just Another Dab of This and That

Weather was nice Saturday, so checked out estate sale listings and hit the street. Found one with lots of jewelry.

Did not find the type of vintage bling I really wanted and prices high, but did get a couple of "grab bags" with some usable pieces.
I just kinda piled everything up to take this picture, but there are a lot of pieces that can be repurposed, such as glass pearls, metal and wooden beads, some charms, etc.. Started going thru cleaning, sorting, etc. yesterday.

Of course there were a good bit of "junk" items also (expected in grab bags), which will get donated after Grands go thru it the next time they are here. Now I just need to get motivated and get busy.

Linking up with Leigh @ "Thrifty Thursday"
Thank you Leigh for hosting again this week. Be sure to check out what Leigh, and the other participants have to share this week.

Just some notes:
Old Interface: In case you are having problems/not happy with the new interface on blogger at Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life posted on how to change back to the previous interface. I was so glad when she told me how to change back.

I am still having problems leaving comments on blogs where the comment section is embedded in the post. Sometimes it will post, many times not. I type the comment, click post and it disappears. :(

Gray, dreary day, but at least it is in the 60's. Back down in 20's tomorrow night - crazy weather.
Off to tackle a stack of paper work.
Have a great week!
Glenda

Luckily, I found out to change my embedded comments and changed mine. I get so frustrated when I find a blog that I can't post a comment on.

I think grab bags are fun. We have a floral/gift shop here that does them every year at Christmas for $1 and I've gotten some fun things (and some that are junk)!

Weather here is starting to change. It was warmish this morning, getting gray and windy now and the cool temps are on the way!

What a fun pile of treasures. I'm sure it will all keep you busy awhile. Looking forward to more of your creations. It's so darn frustrating when that happens with the comments. I rarely have it happen since I started using Google Chrome instead of IE. Hope I don't eat my words and this disappears. Hope you have a great week Glenda.

I have been having blogger issues for days now! Some blogs I can't post on, some I can't even load. Oh well, I don't know why I am sitting here whining, lol, I have enough to keep me busy until the summer months arrive.

I am trying to get used to the new blogger .. time will tell!

Glenda, it sure looks like you managed to find some good stuff. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm having trouble leaving a comment on one blog. I've been there 2 different times and couldn't get the comments section to pop up. I never changed to the new Blog interface! Didn't even need a jacket today. Wow! laurie

You really got some great stuff. I love grab bags, and the anticipation until I get home and open them and see what I got! I have had commenting problems for at least 6 months now, they ave to be in a pop-up window or I can't comment. Now many blogs I follw won't even load! Luckily yours does! Have a great week.

Wow that looks like the mother lode of jewelry sales! Too bad the prices were high.

Got to have the pop-up window I guess...I have been so frustrated by that too!
What a great pile of loot you got there!
We are at -12 wind chill this morning and I hate it! Hopefully it will make you feel better about your weather. And our electric bill is sky high right now too!

I thought of you when I was using the jewelry on my table. I hated that you lost all of yours after we had already gotten rid of so much of hers for so little $$ at the sale. She had some really wonderful pieces as you can see and some that would have been much prettier in a different form:)

All that jewelry and it had to be high priced?.....Shoot! Well I'm glad you scored some good usable stuff. I bet your grands just love coming over and going through your castoffs!
And yes we have about 8" of snow right now in Wash. Glenda. I'm loving it! We're all stocked up with food and beverage and my hubby is staying home from work so I'm enjoying it thoroughly *winks* Vanna

Estate sales must be divine! I've never been to any - I never see any that are posted close by in our paper. How do you find out about them?

Enjoy your new found bling fun!
