Bling Stash

As posted here, I found a few bits and pieces at an estate sale to work with. I am trying to build up my supplies to work with when it gets to hot and humid to play outside.
Not great pictures - should have retaken them. I seriously need to do something about my camera situation.
The 2 identical metal pieces on the right were old shoe clips and thinking they will work well in bracelets. I have already taken the clips off of the back - one was already half off. The little gold toned sand dollars was a pair of broken earrings and I will probably mount them on a filigree or something similar as the backs did not some off real neat. The broach on the bottom right side is missing some of the tiny marcasites, and seems like more pop out every time I move it, but will still try and use it for something.
This is the locket that is priced all over the place on ebay. 3 of the necklaces are vintage, in nice condition and marked, so more than likely will leave them as is and pass them on.

Did a little "sale hopping" yesterday also, and will share about that another time, as have not had a chance to take pics.

It is that time of the year - everything is covered in a layers of yellowish/green pollen. Started to take the car thru the car wash yesterday, but would be wasting my time and money - had to clear the windshield with the window washer, so I could see to drive.
Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend.
Lets have a great week !
Glenda

I can't wait to see what you do with the shoe clips...pretty! I was doing so well around here and then the trees bloomed and I lost from Wednesday on with allergy migraine. I'm still having issues, but the air-conditioning on instead of windows has helped. I do love the warmer weather...but I think everyone is struggling with pollen!

I have a lot of catching up to do around blogland...hopefully, this week!

Great stuff!

Yes, everything is covered with that yellow. I was going to clean up my porch since it's so nice out and then I thought better of it. Might as well wait till the pollen dies down a bit.

Well the way the weather is turning out, it may be too hot and humid by the end of April! Oh goodness I hope not, but this has been the warmest March I can ever remember. Oh, by the way, I LOVE bling when it comes to jewelery. I always wished I worked in a profession where I could dress up and wear jewelery, but none of that allowed in nursing (couldn't wear smell goods either).

One of my favorite flea market jewelry finds is a pair of rhinestone shoe clips! I've been wanting to use them for something but my daughter wants them for her Irish dance shoes! Love your stash, I admire your ability to wait patiently before you use it all!

Beautiful pieces of jewelry Glenda. Shoe clips make great bases for bracelets. Looking forward to seeing what you create out of all your bits and pieces. The locket is really pretty. Great finds.

Good Morning Glenda

I'm taking Claritin so yep I know that there's pollen in the air!

I remember shoe clips! I always had one plain pair of pumps and liked to dress them up with pretty bows and metal clips. I'm sure you'll find some clever way to use the ones you found, Glenda. We aren't seeing yellow pollen like most, but my maple tree has dropped all sorts of red stuff all over the sidewalk and the lawn. The grass looks like we have a fungus. LOL

I remember the shoe clips .. wish I still had mine! The necklace with the blue and purple is so pretty.
Pollen ... it is everywhere and I have been sneezing!

My bling suppy is running low too! I have been having a harder time this year finding bling at yard sales for whatever reason. When I do find it they have it priced high and its cheaper to buy it new.

That looks like a very promising stash to work with! Can't wait to see what you do with them. I've heard about that spring pollen in the south. Crazy!
