Finally - The Tree is Up !

After debating (with myself) as to whether I wanted to put the big tree up this year - the little 4 ft. one won out again this year.  I really enjoy the big one, but lugging it up and down the stairs......Well anyway - small it is!

Thrifty, as everything I used, I already had .  After taking pictures, I see several places that need tweaking....
How about you - if you are putting up a tree - big or small?

Your little tree looks beautiful! I am not even putting up a tree this year. We are planning a big remodel right after the holidays and I just can't force myself to drag out that out and then put it all back up. We'll have Christmas here at one of the kid's house and they are already all decorated up. So, they won't miss anything. Next year maybe. ha

Putting up a mid-size model I snagged last year.

I usually wait until the weekend before Christmas to put up my tree, but since Christmas is on Tuesday, I'll put it up on the 15th.

We try to avoid early decorations. Most people are unaware that the 12 days of Christmas start on the 26th and so our tree stays up until the 7th of January, or the day after Epiphany.

Good choice, it looks so pretty. We're putting up a small one in the front window (looks big from the outside). I have to get to the store this week...no more putting it off.

We put up the same one every year-tall, but skinny. Your little tree looks so pretty next to the stairs. I love the way you have it decorated.

Love the color scheme and the way you display it. We must be crazy, we have a real 9 foot tree in the family room and an 8 foot fake tree in the foyer and a small one for the kid's advent calendar tree....I think you're right, small is probably best!

Hi Glenda

Love your tree it's perfect in the urn!!! You've seen our tree Flyboy and LBB picked it out this year. I would have gone with a smaller thinner one.

Enjoy it!

Your tree is gorgeous and so elegant even if it is small! I put up my big one but wish I had a little 6 inch one right now!

I love your tree Glenda! It looks beautiful sitting there next to the stairs.

We were going to put the urn tree here in the basement and not put any others up. We decided to put it in the basement as it is a pain to get up and downstairs. Well...then I got the bright idea to do a tree in a wash tub and next thing you know we hauled a tree upstairs anyway!

Almost finished. Need to work on the front porch and do something about the kitchen island then I am done...in more ways than one!

Well, you've seen mine...it is 7 1/2 feet tall. I will say that getting a new one this year was a blessing. It came in 3 pieces (the old one had to have each branch stuck in it) and is pre-lit. As much as I love a tree with 1000 lights...I loved not spending an entire day putting lights on a tree and it came with 700, so it will do! Yours is very pretty and I don't blame you for not wanting to carry a big one up and down.

I think it's a sweet little tree in your entryway, Glenda. Putting up large trees and multiple ones is over-rated. Ask me about my obsession with my nine trees and excessive decor! LOL I have pared down a bit this year, but still am taking too much time with it all. IMHO, you are the smart one!!! :-)

I don't feel like lugging up the big tree either! My son and his wife will be in Hawaii and our daughter told me she may be with her boyfriend, so I have little decorations throughout with small trees this year. Lovely tree you have!

Looks lovely Glenda!
We did put up or tree already but I didn't decorate as elaborately as I usually do. Just can't get into it this year!

Your tree looks pretty!

For the first time we put up a faux tree. Usually we have a fresh one but I just don't feel like cleaning up pine needles and watering it. So I finally got a really nice white one!

It looks very pretty, Glenda! If ours wasn't a 'slim' model, I'd probably go small too.

Its a very pretty little tree Glenda!
I think it's the spirit of the season and not the size of the tree that truly counts!

Glenda, it may be small, but it certainly is festive. Just having one brings the spirit into your home. Size doesn't matter. Oh girl, the tweaking never ends does it? lol! Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
