Outdoor Wednesday

Time for "Outdoor Wednesday" hosted by Susan @ http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Monday I did a post on the storms that rolled thru the area late Friday afternoon/early evening. These are a couple photos I took of the sky - The calm after the storm. To the right of the rainbow, there is a faint hint of a double rainbow. By the time I got my camera most of it had disappeared.

Photobucket

Few minutes later -

Photobucket
Why no pictures of the storm you ask? I was in the bathroom, listening the the sirens going off and saying a prayer!! Still a lot of people without power today. If you have not already, stop over to visit Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer to see what she and the other participants have to share on Outdoor Wednesday.
Sat down the other day and brought my "to do" list up to date and got it organized (kinda sorta). You know -" important stuff", "I really need to tend to stuff", "outdoor stuff" "things I want to do stuff", etc., etc. I had good intentions of getting some of those things done this week. So far let me see ----I did get one of the birdcages ( bought in April) hung in the courtyard, and the other one got a fresh coat of paint (as you can tell - important things :-)). I had good intentions of getting a lot done today - Yep! I sure did (insert rolling eyes here). I left with my "I need list" and the first stop would be that dreaded trip to WM. Well what can I say - I never made it, instead I went by to visit a bead shop, and then there is HL right across the street. Can't be that close and not go in - right? 45 mins. later (with my bank account still in tact), I decided it was way past my lunch time, so stopped by a local pizza place - food cooked when ordered - none of that fast food stuff. :-) 30 mins. later back home loving every bit of that "stuff" I should not be eating - Oh, but so good! Ok - so I never made it to WM or HD, but I did visit a friend, drooled over lots at HL I wanted (but was good and did not buy), my tastebuds are happy because of what I ate, and my tummy is happy because I decided to eat something after being up over 6 hrs. and only fuled with half cup of coffee. You do what you gotta do - right?

Hope you are having a great week!
Glenda (The Procrastinator) :-)

Glenda--It sounds as if you may be in Memphis! We had the same weather!! I did see a rainbow too! The weather cleared just long enough for our daughter's wedding on Sat. evening. Our OUTDOOR reception was saved. We had generators for the reception and the bride never even knew!

Spoken like a true procrastinator. And I should know as I am the queen. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment. This was my first attempt at a mosaic. I have my photos on Picasa & they have a mosaic (they call it collage) maker. So it was easy peasy.

Great photos. Your day sounds a lot like mine. I got up with great intentions to tackle many things and for some reason kept getting distracted. At one point I spent about 20 minutes fiddling with my radio because I wanted a station that was not coming in clear--that was exhausting and reason for a brake. LOL!! Oh well, the stuff we all NEED to do will always be there - so enjoy life.

A lovely rainbow to be sure! :)

Honey Bear sent me a news clipping of the storm that hit Memphis & Bartlett, TN. He was on his way home at the time. He said it chased him all the way. By the time it got here, it had lost some of its strength.
Your day sounds like mine. I go to bed at night planning all the "stuff" I want to get done the next day and as usual here I sit. I do have to make today count. Maybe visiting with all of you bloggers is productive. It sure makes me happy.

The rainbow is such a pretty picture! We have a basement and that's where we go when the sirens sound - always a terrifying time. We'r supposed to have severe storms today and I believe it as it was incredibly hot and humid at 8am when I went outside to have coffee!

Love the rainbow picture!

I can so identify with you about intending to get lots done! Where is the time flying!!!! I have been afraid to even make a list as it might keep me from doing anything!(Where do I start when I look at that list that reaches the floor!

I love the rainbows!! The storms seem to be especially vicious in many areas this summer. Wonder what is going on! I love your story about lists. Sounds a bit like me :-)
