Today's Thrifty Treasure

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a heavy dose of bad weather in this area, late Friday afternoon. Lots of damage from straight line winds - trees and power lines down, and thousands still without power today. My daughter was without power for about 24 hours and very fortunate she did not have damage, as a tornado touched down, causing a lot of damage, close to where she lives. One touched down about 12 miles South and another about the same distance North of me. The good thing, there were no deaths or serious injuries. I was fortunate with no damage, just had to pick up lots of small limbs. Another line of storms came thru this morning, but fortunately not severe.

Ok - Time for "Today's Thrifty Treasure" hosted by Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality http://southernhospitality-rhoda.blogspot.com/ . I have posted a couple of times in the past about some real treasures I found when a neighbor moved and this is another one of them - This little girl sitting on a bench statue. I took this photo in April, before all the heavy, constant rains took such a tow on my flowers. Free is good!!!

If you have not already, go over to see what Thrifty Treasures Rhoda and all the other participants have to share this week.
Hope everyone has a great week.

ETA: Thanks for your suggestions on how to remove the stain on my tub. Now I just need to get busy and do something about trying to get it off. :-)

Hi, Glenda! Thanks for visiting me and leaving a comment. I'm so glad no one was hurt in those storms. This has been a time for weather in our area, too.
Your garden statue looks sweet nestled among those beautiful flowers.

Love your statue! I am glad that the storms didn't do any major damage at your home. I am also glad that your daughter avoided the tornado.

Hi, Glenda, you're right, free is BEST!! Love the little girl. I had one almost just like her that got smashed by a tree last year. I had her for a few years, so I got my money's worth.

What a lovely little statue -- and free is my favorite price!

But tornadoes? Holy smokes!!! Run for the root cellar along with Auntie Em.

No, seriously -- tornadoes scare the bejeebers out of me. Yikes.
I'll take a good ol' predictable hurricane anyday.

Glenda,
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments. Thank the Lord y'all are safe. That's one thing I'm having trouble getting used to here in the South...the tornadoes and the lightning/thunder! We sure didn't have anything like that back in Seattle. I love the pictures of your garden and your header photo...so beautiful! Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Victoria Lynn

Nice blog and nice finds! I was in Seattle last week and grew up in Portland, OR. We've had storms and tornados in Denver area, lately too. Definately different than Pacific NW!

Cute little statue! I hate that the weather has been so rough. It hasn't been tornadic here in Alabama, just a lot of rain. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
