First of all - I want to start this post by saying I met three of the nicest ladies from the world of blogging today. Laura @ http://hiddenpromise.blogspot.com/, Susan @ http://thoughtsfromovertherainbow.blogspot.com/ , Laurie @ http://bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com/ and I met for lunch. Well - they ate lunch, I just had "sweet tea" as it had not been long since I had eaten, as I was not sure what time I would be able to meet up with them, plus would have something to eat at my next stop. What an enjoyable visit with three of the nicest ladies and the conversation flowed like we had known each other for a long time. Actually Susan and Laura had met previously. Afterwards they all went shopping and really wished I could have joined them,, but I had already committed to doing something else. Yes, pictures were taken, but forgot to ask their permission to post a photo. I should have gone on with them, as my other plans had to be changed - oh well, maybe next time.
Got a few projects in the works ( a little black satin spray paint used), but did not get one of the finials painted this last week. Hope to finish up in next couple of days and get pictures taken to post, so you will know I do get a few things done around here. :-) Added a couple of rubons to a plain white candle a few days ago. The crown like that was not my idea - got the idea from Linda @ http://royaltouchart.blogspot.com/ - thanks Linda.
Went back and added the rhinestone.
Like I said - Dab of This and That. :-)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Glenda
ETA: Was going to post these pictures for "Outdoor Wednesday", but not real sure how much I will be around next week - duty calls. More on that another time. What it looked like in my courtyard Thursday at 5:25PM when bad storms rolled thru. It is usually this dark around 8:30PM this time of the year. The white dots are rain drops - the way the flash made them show up.
2 or 3 minutes later -
Same line of storms that had 2 tornado touch downs. One several miles South of me and one several miles North of where I live - lots of damage. To close for comfort.

How nice to meet up with some other bloggers! Elizabethd and I are hoping to meet up at the end of this month when I go to her part of France...
I actually think your advice about WD40 is quite a good idea - I shall talk to Ben about it when he gets back to see what he thinks, but it's a good lead, I reckon - thanks!
How nice to get together with blogger friends. I meet up with my friends that I call "The Lunch Bunch".
I like your candle. Very clever!
Hugs
Oh Glenda! I had such a good time! It was so nice to meet you! I laughed when you said you were going to paint, remembering your 'aversion' to painting. I wish you could've gone with us too! There will definitley be a next time! I love your candle! And the bling makes it perfect! God Bless! Lauralu :)
Sounds really fun. Anxious to hear more.
I love that candle! I had never thought to do that. I am so glad you met blogging friends. I have met two. One has relocated. But the other woman and I talk on the phone almost daily. Wonderful meeting friends you have a lot in common with. Your courtyard looks very cozy. I like the privacy of it.
Brenda
I love your candle! Glad you had such a good time.
Glenda,
What a great idea to customize inexpensive candles and make them look expensive. I have lots of birthdays coming in August and now I know what to give.
Thanks so much and keep those dab's coming :-)

How fun to meet bloggers, I hope to someday. Glad you were safe from the storm, they are so scary! Thank you for stopping over at my blog and leaving a sweet comment. I appreciate it, I love comments. Hugs ~cindy s~
Glenda, I can't believe your plans changed and you didn't go shopping with us! I had such fun meeting you Memphis bloggers. Thanks for letting the Arkansan tag along! Love your candle you made. Hope we'll get together again. laurie
Glenda, I love, love, love that candle. I have to do this! Thanks.
Barb :-)
Oh my gosh Glenda, that is some seriously heavy rain! As you say, those tornado's were a bit too close also. Must have been a little freaky.
Blogging is so fun, especially when you get to meet a few others whom you have things in common with.
Glenda,
I had read Laurie's post mentioning she was getting together with a few bloggers! It sounded like fun and how lucky you lived close enough to meet.

...just had to come and take another peek around... and to say thank you for coming by my beach party.
Wow, even in the midst of that heavy storm, this area of your yard looks so inviting! Beautiful brick walls, flowers and decor!
Blessings & Aloha!
