Time again for "Outdoor Wednesday" hosted by Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ . Thank you Susan for hosting this weekly event. This time of the year when it get so hot most blooms are pretty well spent, there is one that you can count on to show its beauty - The Crape Myrtle. When out and about the last couple of weeks I would forget to take my camera most of the time - you would think I would have learned by now. I was on a mission today and remembered it and when I pulled in the parking lot, I saw these gorgeous blooms. Never mind where they were located. :-D
And yes, I went inside . Of course, both stores! But Hey - I was good. I did not buy one single thing - Oh but I was tempted. Anyway, I had just left Kirklands, where I did spend a little as I am redoing what is on the wall behind my sofa (another post), and it was on sale.
The sky was such a pretty blue a few days ago.
This is my contribution to "Outdoor Wednesday". If you have not already go over to see what Susan and the other participants have to share.
Hope you are having a great week.
Glenda

Glenda -
I so enjoy your pictures and these of the crepe myrtles are beautiful! Makes me miss the two I had in my backyard when I lived in Calif. One of the myrtles I had was pink and the other a lavender, both were beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Toni
Hi Glenda!
Thank you for sharing. The crepe myrtles are absolutely breath taking. I could never have one of those in Phoenix. I have signed up to follow your BLOG, and I can't wait to see what you post next. Please pop over and say hi, I would love to have you sign up to follow my BLOG as well. Country Hugs, Sherry
I received an email from Kirkland's today...as I am a faithful shopper there...and nearly went to pick up a thingy or two. Alas, I did not go. My wallet says thank you but I would have loved it so much.
Have a happy day!

Hi Glenda,
Love crepe myrtles, especially the real dark pink, beautiful sky too. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Glenda,
Your pictures made me chuckle. I got in trouble for taking pictures inside a William Sonoma store, just for my blog. I've gotten in trouble a couple times since at other stores or restaurants. I never thought blogging would be such risky business. The things I go through just to publish a post! Heeheee. Happy OW!
Beautiful photos of the crepe myrtles and in front of two of my favorite stores as well - and a gorgeous blue sky to go with them. Lovely!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

What beautiful crepe myrtles, especially that huge one. And great shopping at the same time - what a treat! Kathy
What beautiful trees.
Have a great day! :o) Sue
I love crape myrtles. The ones in my yard haven't started blooming yet. They always seem to be a little later than most but I can see the buds.
Beautiful crape myrtles! I have 5 varieteis and I am finally seeing blooms on one of them. The others all seem to be late bloomers! Thanks for sharing. They are gorgeous!...Debbie
Dear Glenda,
beautiful crepe myrtles....I love it when they are at that full thick point of blooming....I got around late and have not posted yet.
Thank you for the beautiful sky

I love crape myrtles, Glenda and those are gorgeous. I have a few tree in our yard but they do not have as many flowers as those trees...Christine
I love it when they make parking lots look nice! You were good to resist spending money. Stay strong! :)

Your crepe mrytles are the prettiest I've seen! I loved your post. Happy OW.
Pretty. It must be too cold for them in Northern Illinois because I have never seen them. Shopping...very tempting. Beautiful sky.
see, you can find beauty anywhere.
We don't have those wonderful stores here, so I have to enjoy them through their catalogs. I do, however, have crepe myrtles in my yard blooming white, light pink, and dark pink!
Brenda

I'm torn as to which is prettier the crepe myrtles or the treasures in William Sonoma! :)

The trees here have not started to bloom. I think this is late this year, I'm missing that gorgeous color.

Lovely photos! That purple blooming tree is so amazing! And I'm a sucker for clouds so I loved the sky shot too!
Absolutely breathtaking color in the first photo - wow!
Glenda,
the one in Jackson is closed now...so the one here in Union City is the only one I know of in TN...
What beautiful trees! I don't think we have that type of tree here, but I guess it would survive - I will have to look out for them at the garden centre.
Wow--I love the color of those crepe myrtles! Thanks for stopping by my blog again. I'm having fun getting to "know" more fellow bloggers.
I love your photos--very professional looking.
Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog! I enjoy seeing new names every week, and especially meeting new people. Come back again sometime, I will be having my 100th blog giveaway soon it looks like!
Wow, beautiful pictures!
I came this close () to putting crepe murtles in my cart when I was shopping for the 'sanctuary'!
Love, love, love them. But they die back every year around here and start over each spring.
Thanks for sharing them and that beautiful sky with us.
Look I have to live vicariously through all you bloggers that live in the US. I am in Canada and don't have half the great stores or deals you guys have.
You must shop and buy things for me to whine about. It is all about me.
Glenda, I love crepe myrtles too and these are gorgeous! Also love those stores!!
I had to laugh at your comment on my fried corn post. I guess you are right. I'm just a "city-fied" Tennessean! LOL!
Those blooms are beautiful. I definitely would have been tempted to buy something though.
Beautiful photos, plus my favorite stores. Kirkland is a must visit all the time. I just became a follower also.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your nice comment.

Glenda, I love crepe myrtles too and these are gorgeous! My eyes opened wide when I saw the pictures of those stores! All my favs :-)
What a gorgeous color! Love the blue sky pic, too! :-)
Thanks for stopping by the other day! I really like my apple peeler and if you eat a lot of apple pies and crisps I would really recommend it. It saved my wrists a ton of work!
Have a great day,
Heather
Hi Glenda, Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yours is really fun I like all the different subjects and the way you jump from one thing to another! It keeps my attention since I think that is the way my mind works!
Kim
Crepe Myrtles have such fabulous blooms!
Gorgeous Crape Myrtles! Mine are just starting to bloom.
Manuela
Glenda,
I don't know which I admired most~the crepe myrtle or the stores behind them!!
I am very much the same as you, I love to go into these stores. Then I see the prices and try to make a graceful exit!! I never really feel deprived because you can find basically the same quality at TJ's or Marshalls.
Loved this post! Happy Outdoor Wednesday, Glenda!! :-)
xoxo

I love crepe myrtle trees. I hope to plant one in my yard soon. Thanks for visiting my blog and your comments.
Good mornin' Glenda! I recognize that shopping center! Looks like we're from the same town! The crepe myrtles are really coming out! I have a white one in the front yard though that seems to bloom just a tad later! I admire your willpower! God Bless! Lauralu:)
Made me smile! Crepe myrtles are so Southern to me, too!
