It is hard to believe Monday is rolling around again. This is my first time to join Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/. Thanks Susan for hosting this event.
For those of you that have read my blog lately, you know that I got some great bargains at Hobby Lobby recently. I knew when I bought some of the items, they would be changed to meet my needs, and this post is about some of those changes. But first - I changed up these 2 mirror frames that I already had . They were a antique gold . Started spraying the first one and almost forgot to take before pictures. I have been blogging since the end of November - you would think I knew the "drill" by now ! :-)
Before. No that is not my wall. :-) It is an old shower curtain I lay on the patio to do my spray painting.
After - These are hung on a small section of wall next to a 1/2 bath. Sorry photo not better - flash reflected off of the mirrors to photo them straight on.
Remember this?
And this?
Well look at us now ! ! ! Chopped off to much on this picture. : (
OK - Now I have a question. The candle stick is in the 1/2 bath. Should I hang the piece with the hooks here ? ? Sorry not a better picture, but did not have an extra hand around when I took the pictures and I did not want to put a nail in the wall and decide I don't like it there.
Or here ?
I think I am going more towards hanging it next to the candle holder. I have some reproductions of old keys that are 3 to 4 inches long (bought at Kirklands some time ago) to hang on the hooks .
If you have not already, go over to visit Susan to see what she and the other participants have to share with us today.
As of right now, there is a possibility that I am going to be in and out (more out than in) this week. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is posting about, but it may be a while before I get around to visiting you, so please don't think I posted then just disappeared.
Hope everyone has a great week.

I think I like the hooks next to the candle best - I would really like to see your whole house, Glenda!
I agree, it looks better next to the candle. The keys will look really good on hanging on it too! Great job Glenda!
I just loved what a difference the paint made! Yes, the ex-pig with hooks in the bath look so great together! Now remember not to get the towel near the flame!
Everything looks great! Dontcha just love spray paint?
I vote next to the candle, because of the pattern repeat. :)

Oops, me again. I forgot to thank you for telling me about your dad and the old soda bottles. Can you imagine anyone thinking they could drink something that old! ewwww!
So very nice what you have done.
I really like the darker painted items.
They are stunning.
Blessings,
d
I vote for hanging the hooks by the candle. You did a nice job on those transformations. :)
Wow! Everything looks so amazing! Love the hooks and candlestick. You've inspired me to create some accessories for my new office mantel.

Wow...I wouldn't have been able to get past the pig, but look what you did with it! Did you use fabric or a stencil and paint? It looks great. I like it in both places you mentioned, but maybe by the candlestick the most.
That pig surely did have a metamorphosis! Love it! And the candlestick looks great. The hook is really cute by the candlestick. Linda
Glenda- Your frames look great and I vote for the bathroom. Those keys sound perfect in that spot! Isn't Laurie's post a hoot?!
Love your redos. I have to start looking past what something is now to what it could be. Thanks for sharing. Laura@the mansion
Next to the candle all the way! I love how you did it, no more piggy.
yep I'd say hooks with the candle...
Sarah
It's great what paint can do! So fun!
Fabulous "afters"...no matter where you decide to put the hooks, it is going to look great.
Glenda,
I just love the Met Monday transformations and I think old keys would look fabulous on the little placque. Great Job, Cindy
I just love it all! So creative.
Blessings,
Linda
Oh, the miracle of paint. They all turned out great.
You are good! I love the dark color you chose for the frames. I love Kirklands. It just closed up in our mall, I was so disappointed.
Love the transformation! The hooks look so chic now! So clever! Love the candlestick in black!
Great transformations! Thanks for sharing!
Tina

Your metamorphasis looks great~ well done. My vote is to hang it near the candle.
Have a blessed day!
Glenda I love what you did with your treasures.. I'm leaning towards the candlestick combo. The mirrors seem to make their own statement... Keep us posted on what you decide.. hugs ~lynne~
Very nice. I love all the black! I think the key holder looks really nice with your new and improved candle holder.
Wow you did a great job! Everything looks just wonderful.
I too would like to know how you covered the pig? Did you use scrapbook paper? I love the look of what all you've done here. Very classy!
Brenda
I agree with you! I like it with the candle better. I had such a great time and Laurie's post was such a hoot! Oh, I wish you could've gone with us! Next time! God Bless! Lauralu :)
It's very nice Glenda and my congratulations for your great work!!! It's a pleasure to visit your blog!

Glenda,
You shop at some of my favorite spots. I am doing the happy dance because we just got a Hobby Lobby in town. You are a woman who knows how to handle a can of spray paint! The key holder is really cute.
Cathy
I love how the hook hanger matches the candle crest. You also did some neat painting on the frames.
I use 3M command adhesive hooks to hang everything because they won't leave a hole in the wall if I change my mind. They have all kinds of sizes and the velcro like things can hold up to 11 pounds. They are widely available at stores like Home Depot and Target.
Fabulous makeovers!!! Love them all! I vote for putting the thingy with hooks in the 1/2 bath. Thanks for sharing!!
I would put it by the candles. I love these makeovers - where did you get the stencils from?
LOVE THEM! The hook thing is awesome and love that candlestick!! Amazing redos as always!!!
That key rack is so clever! I would never have thought to do that to it. Your frames look great too! laurie
