Pictures From the Archives

I have not been taking many pictures lately, so dug around and found these I took while on a trip a few years ago.
Click on picture to enlarge to read.

I was playing around with some of my photos on picmonkey, and decided to remove the utility pole in this picture of this very old, historical, family cemetery (Not my family).......
When removing the image of the pole, it also removed the blue of the sky. I thought the result was very interesting, and decided to leave it as is. It seems very appropriate.

Lots of interesting shadows in your photos. And, the resulting floating cross is perfect for the scene below.

Makes for an interesting photo for sure. It's always annoying to have such structures in photography. I can't take a decent picture of my home or anywhere without those wires everywhere. I like your solution.

How amazing that the ethereal cross was left in the sky after your editing, Glenda. Perfect for a cemetery setting.

That is interesting...looks like a cross hanging in the heavens. I think old cemeteries are so interesting (as long as it is daylight)!

So this is a family cemetery and marker and you are part of the McGavock family? How cool to have that wonderful history! Great shots too.

Interesting photos, Glenda. I like touring cemeteries too and I always take guests to our historical cemetery here. We have people buried from the 1700's and lots of civil ear soldiers.....Christine
