What is Going on in the Courtyard!

A couple of you have asked for updated pics of my courtyard. As it turns out, I could have used pictures from a couple of years ago as much of it looks the same. I just plant the "same old" each year as that is what survives my neglect.
These are up to date pics. I don't know what caused the blue spots in the upper left corner of the first one - every one I took of that area had them. Glare off the lens I guess.

The two top pots of impatiens are sorta sad looking, as they are victims of squirrels digging in them. :( Not sure what they are digging for, as the pots were newly planted this Spring, so no hickory nuts or acorns from last Fall.
Forgot to take a pic of the area up by the door, but nothing has really changed. This is one I took a while ago, but looks pretty much the same. Except for the purple petunias - they are sorta sad looking right now.

So - That is what's going on in the courtyard these days.

My thinking is if it looks good, why change it? The courtyard looks might good, Glenda. Lots of color and greenery! The squirrels are wreaking havoc in my yard, too. I go out and find beds all turned over and I have one pot that gets uprooted every night. Darn squirrels..... And poor lost bird?

I agree with Sue... If you like it the way it is... don't change it... And its beautiful!

It's very beautiful. We have baby cardinals at our feeders right now...they are so sweet!

It's looking fine to me! I imagine those squirrels are muttering to themselves and worrying that they're "losing it." That spot looks like a wonderful place for morning coffee.

When something looks as good as this why change it? It really looks so cozy. What a wonderful place to hang out and watch little birdies.

It may be the "same old" to you, but it sure looks pretty out there. We are having such a hard time keeping things alive with the heat and no rain for so long I can't remember the last time. Our water bill was awful and the grass is pretty much dead...can't afford to water it too. Doing the rain dance up here!

What a coincidence you and I featured flowers today. You want believe it, but a little baby bird just like yours was in my flower bed this week as well.

Great to see the updated courtyard photos! Even though you think it looks the same it's always beautiful to see. What a lovely place to sit and relax.

I had to laugh at the diaper photo below. We had our grandson in the pool yesterday with his regular diaper and not a swim diaper and my gosh that thing was heavy!

What a lovely place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and a good book! I am constantly finding peanuts all in my flower beds and containers that the squirrels hide and then forget about.

Glenda, your courtyard is beautiful, and so are the potted plants. I can understand why the little birdies want to hang out there. Stay inside and stay cool, it is dangerous out there. We are sitting here listening to thunder now, hoping for some rain from it. Everything here is already dead from the heat and the drought.
