So What Was On Your Agenda Today ?

On a walk recently, I went to see if there was any sign of the hydrangea bush coming back - no such luck.   A neighbor has 2 small bushes with blue blooms and they are beautiful.  The neighborhood brats  undisciplined children have picked a lot of her flowers, including several of the hydrangea blooms.  A couple of days ago I found this pretty bloom  laying on the sidewalk starting to wilt, so brought it in, immediately put in water and it perked up after a few minutes.
 *********
Trying to take a picture thru the screen door does not work to well - ya think!
The chipmunks have been coming around again a lot lately, and I was trying to get a pic of one, but they are so skittish it is almost impossible.   They have learned to move fast around here to stay clear of the neighborhood cat population. As you can see, no chipmunk in the picture - it was gone before the shutter finished clicking.
*****
Watered plants and did a bit of cleanup outside, but called it quits early - starting to heat up out there.  The calendar says the first day of Summer is 6/21, but according to the weather forecast....
 *Summer has arrived*

Just a short ramble...
Hope everyone is having a super week!

It's really warm here also - 99 degrees today. But, I vowed to not complain of the heat after the cold, cold winter we had. It's going to be hard I'm afraid.

Good for you getting so much done.

Sounds like a very productive day for you. Happy to see that you were able to rescue that poor hydrangea bloom before it wilted away.

Oh my...we don't have that weather yet and are supposed to storm again tomorrow. We can't get it nice enough to leave the new rug out or our good chairs and pillows. I know that we are going to go from this to so hot we can't go out! Crazy. I am always trying to get pictures of our hummingbirds and I so rarely catch them. Some of these creatures are just too fast for us!

Nice you rescued that blue hydrangea. My to do lists are like yours, long and things get crossed off but more get added.

It feels like a 100 here! It's just muggy and horrible. I don't see how it can get any hottier!

Nice that you were able to rescue that hydrangea blossom!

Oh the chipmunks are horrible. I hate them - they eat the roots of my bushes and make holes everywhere.

Glenda I love this post. I love you giving yourself half checks. (and no wonder with the temp so crazy hot; cleaning out the fridge would have been a job I would have taken on no problem...lol) About those treasures to donate. I'm thinking that maybe I should find a box for some of those too. :)
