but thought I would share the red geranium that survived over the Winter (which is unusual here), and has finally come to life with its pretty red blooms. Just in time for the 4th of July....

Such a bright red! I love geraniums, did you know their scent keeps the mosquitos away? Can't believe yours survived the winter!
I love geraniums - always so bright and cheery!
Stay cool!

Your red geranium is amazing, Glenda. I don't think we would ever have one survive outside over winter, but we've neglected a few indoors that made it through.
Your red geranium is beautiful. It is great it survived the winter, nice to have a hardy plant. Beautiful mosaic, have a happy week!
It overwintered outside? Many here overwinter their geraniums inside. They cut them way back and leave them in the basement remembering to water them once in a while. There's nothing much more cheerful than a vibrant red geranium and perfect for the holiday!
I've never had much luck with these but yours is beautiful and adds some pretty color for summer time! Hugs!
Red geraniums are such a classically lovely plant!
Geraniums are one thing the Japanese beetles won't eat here. What a lovely, big plant and I'm impressed it survived the winter! Not sure that's a good thing or not (global warming and all). I've had snap dragons survive the winter recently which has never happened before.
Love the beautiful header photo from your road trip!
I love geraniums, especially the red ones. Yours looks beautiful!
It's always fun to have some red blooms on the 4th of July! Blessings...
Red geraniums are so pretty and I love to use them during the summer. They fit so well into patriotic decorating. I am visiting from Mosaic Monday. Stop by Still Woods Farmhouse when you get a chance.

Did you overwinter your geranium outdoors? It's so bright and pretty!
It's such a special treat when a plant overwinters unexpectedly. Your geranium is a gorgeous red.
Ooo...such pretty pictures! I love red geraniums and they were a favorite of my mom's.
How can a cantaloupe taste so good and smell so awful? Strawberries also make the car smell and there is nothing better!
Red geraniums are my favorite. Yours are beautiful. I've gotta have some each May!
I took my geraniums inside this past winter. They did very well. I think I had 4 and they did take awhile to bloom again outside but are doing quite well now, I think I will do the same this winter. I cut them back hard and put them in the windows. The ones in the north windows bloomed on and off all winter, the others just stayed green

Charming.
Lovely series.

Glenda, how did you do that - keep that beautiful geranium alive through the winter? You definitely have a green thumb. It's gorgeous! laurie
One of my favorite plants...:)
You had a geranium survive the winter? Here that would only happen if you kept it in a greenhouse environment. Your patio area is so pretty!
Like your own private fireworks display just in time for the 4th. Gorgeous Red flowers!
