Repurposed beads

One thing I really enjoy doing is to repurpose vintage/old jewelry. However, lately with other things going on, I have not spent much time creating new pieces. Some of you may remember a post I did sometime ago about the vintage necklace with the pretty aqua colored glass beads, but the chain was broken and badly deteriorated . Took everything apart, and cleaned the glass beads.
I made this necklace some time ago - have had picture of it on my sidebar for a while now.

I am linking up with Cindy @ "Show and Tell Friday" http://romantichome.blogspot.com/
and Laurie @ " A Few of My Favorite Things Saturdays" http://bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com/
Be sure and visit Cindy and Laurie to see what they and the other participants have to share this week. Thank you ladies for hosting these fun events.
This is going to be a busy weekend. Family coming in for the weekend, birthdays to celebrate (not mine), and I need to get off the computer and get things ready.
Hope you have a great weekend and staying cool!
Glenda

Hey Glenda! This takes real patience and a steady hand--it is beautiful! I love the blue. That squirrel is SO funny! I "glistened" all day yesterday and think you can find me on a raft today--with some gazpacho cooling in the fridge :) Take care and stay out of the heat!

You have quite the jewelry-making set up, Glenda! I love to be creative but have never tried my hand at jewelry. Nice work!

That is a beautiful necklace. I didn't know you made jewelry. That is some tedious work.

I am in awe of talented people such as yourself who can recreate things from old "stuff." I also think it's fantastic that you'd re-gift the original owner of the necklace. Hope you are enjoying your family's visit.
