Nice Memory......

                                                           Nice Memory  !!!!
You should see it now - Or maybe not ! :(
Still had lots of leaves piled up in the flower beds, dead plants in pots as it just got to cold to soon to deal with the issue this Fall/Winter.  Then to add insult to injury, the "fountain of destruction" erupted.  The temps dropped (again), and it became an issue getting all the wet/damaged "stuff" out of the house to the garbage.  As a result I have just put a lot of bags/boxes of damaged/water soaked items in the courtyard, until I can deal with the situation.
******
The clean up/repairs has been  slow going, as this area had a major freeze recently, and the restoration services, plumbers, etc. that deal with frozen/burst pipes are backed up.  Making lots of money - but backed up!  My situation was not frozen pipes - but same type of damage.
*****
Good News: Temps suppose to be  warmer this weekend, so hope to get more done.
Bad News:  Temps dropping again first of the week.  :(
Sorry - just needed to ramble.

Enjoy the warmer temperatures this weekend. I can only imagine how busy mother nature is keeping the plumbers. Hopefully things will be getting back to normal around your house real soon.

Being from Tennessee, I understand completely! We're just not used to this cold weather. Stay warm.

I'm just now catching up with my blog reading and all I can say is "Oh no and Bless You". How awful to have water everywhere and to deal with a mess especially with the cold. I am so ready for Spring! And to think it's going to be cold again this week :( BRR
Stay warm and hugs,
Donna

So sorry to hear your having to deal with yucky weather and having your "stuff" ruined. What a major bummer! I too know what a nuisance it is to clean out closets etc. I am determined to get new carpet--- and soon, so I am cleaning out every dresser drawer (to make moving it out of the rooms easier) every cabinet etc. Nothing is off limits! I've got six bags going to the thrift store tomorrow! I know its different than sorting through damaged property--- but it is a huge task that I can identify with! Anywho,
big hugs!
Cheryl

Glenda, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this. Are you saying that they don't know where the water came from yet? Yikes! I've been wondering if someone picked me up and moved me to a colder area. We're not supposed to have this kind of weather! I sure hope you get a plumber there to fix it all soon. I know it has to be depressing. Hang in there! laurie

Cleaning up really requires a lot of work. And I hope to do the same when the warmer weather comes in the cleaning will progress faster. Also, it's the best time to have all your pipes check to know what part are damage and in need of repair.
