Show and Tell

I can not believe I am sitting here at this computer instead of snoozing. Anyway, I just found Kelli's Blog http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ "There is no Place Like Home". Kelli is hosting "Show and Tell Friday" and thought it would be fun to join in.

My treasure to "Show and Tell" is a Steiff Bear that I found at a carport sale back many years ago. I spotted it and knew it was going home with me. Picked him up immediately and asked the price - $2 (can you believe that). He is a little worn looking and still had his metal tag in his ear. I ended up buying a doll at the same sale (will post about her another time).

As soon as I got home with my prize, I realized he was one of the older ones, as he was stuffed with straw or excelsior, as he has that crunchy sound when you squeezed him. I decided to go back to the sale and ask the people what they knew about him (left him at my house when I went back). The lady said she did not know how old it was, because someone who had it for some time had given it to her daughter when she was little. An older lady spoke and said "I told you it was probably worth something and not to sell it". I very quickly thanked her for the information and left. :-) I was told I could find out when he was made based on the symbol on the ear tag - I need to do that.

That is my first Show and Tell Friday" post and hope you enjoyed hearing about my $2 Steiff Bear. Go by and visit Kelli and see what the other participants have to show and tell about. Thanks Kelli for hosting.

Now let me see if I can link this right. :-)Good Night!

Got a tree in your home? I do (not real of course), actually I have 2 of them. One between the living/dining area and one in the guest room. Everytime I have to dust them, I threaten to get rid of them.Photobucket
Things are pretty soggy around here and looks like it will be that way for a while - lots of rain in the forecast. May be a good time to tackle that "To Do List". Nah - That means work. I did mark one thing off yesterday - I rehung my doorbell. Where I did have it, when someone would ring my neighbor's doorbell mine would ring also !?!?! So I changed the location - will see what happens. I think there is a way to change the frequency on one, but I have not figured that one out just yet. When one of my Grands was a baby, the baby monitor would pick up the sounds in the neighbor's baby's room - apparently they had the same kind of monitor!
Ok, I am out of here - will go look at the "list" and find something easy to do (after I visit a few blogs). Have a great weekend.

ETA: These are not my flowers. They are pictures of flowers around my neighborhood .
