Miniature General Store

Click the collage to enlarge, then click again to enlarge more.
Some of you have said you would like to see closeups of my miniatures, and I have not taken the time to rephotograph them. I took some pictures that I had taken sometime ago, and enlarged them in Picasa. I tried to enlarge them more, but they were to blurred. These are from the general store I made out of a wooden wine box. I am linking up with Cindy @ My Romantic Home who is hosting "Show and Tell Friday', and Laurie @
Bargain Hunting and Chatting With Laurie.
who is hosting "My Favorite Things" since my minis are some of my favorite things. Thanks Cindy and Laurie for hosting these weekly events.

On the days that have been warmer and the sun shining, I have spent more time outside and less on the computer. As a result I have gotten behind visiting around to see what everyone has been up to these days. Went to HD yesterday to have some keys made, and what did I see when I first drove up!?!? FERNS & PETUNIAS & PANSIES & FLOX & & & & & & ! ! ! Well - I did behave a little bit. :-) Hey! I had to celebrate! I get released from physical therapy this week ! So to treat myself (does not take much these days), I bought a few ferns (on sale) and a few petunias. I was so tempted to get more, but know this time of the year the weather is "iffy" around here. Left the ferns out in the rain last night and they do actually look better today - guess they needed rain water. I brought the petunias inside for the night, as I knew the rain would beat them down - Aaaaaachoo!!!!!! They smell so good, but outside they went this morning - I could not stop sneezing. Aaaaaachoo, Aaaachoo !!!!! I LOVE SPRING ! ! :-D

Hope everyone has a great weekend !
Glenda

I'm loving springtime too - and like you, Son 1 is asking me to keep the flowers away from him! It's working so far...

Your little shop is fantastic. What a creative project. I bet your grandchildren adore it too.

Your general store is so cute!

I went to HD last weekend and was really tempted but just bought some things to put in pots. I figure I can pull the pots in the garage if we get another freeze (which I think we will).

Oh Glenda, I LOVE your general store -so much wonderful detail. I enlarged it and studied each picture. Everything is perfect. Love the little chalkboard. It's all so perfect! If you took a photograph that was really close up, I bet it would even look miniature. It would look like the inside of a real store. So glad you shared this. laurie

Hello Glenda ~I've just strolled in for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek at your past posts. Your blog is so beautifully inviting.
We share similar taste for so many of the same creative design elements. I adore mini's. including in my foodie creations.

As spring approaches I looked forward to applying it's inspirational palette of colors into a few DIY decorations and gifts, with a little baking/cooking in between.
Don't you love the aroma that fills the air during this season?
It's definitely invigorating.

I've bookmarked you in my favs and joined your followers too.
I look forward to coming by your charming blog again.
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Hi Glenda,
I can't wait until I can start planting.Just have to use my flonase so I can breathe, and I'm waiting for the crane to remove the fallen oak tree. I don't want any of the debris falling on the deck and ruining my new plants! It will be an exciting (and sad!) day when the tree guys come tomorrow.
I love your miniature store. How in the world did you put that together? Did you make the little bits, or purchase them? It's wonderful!
Thanks for being such a loyal blog-friend!

Sorry you have been feeling poorly but that is great news to hear that you are doing better now.
It's so exciting when the flowers get put out for the first time of the season. Our HD only has Daffodils, tulips and phlox so far. I keep driving by!
I'll stop back by later tonight as I can't see you picture that you posted of the miniature. Every blog I go to- including mine today- only some of the pictures show up.
