Table Top

I haven't done any rearranging/changing things out in a while. Hard to believe in a couple of weeks I will be putting up a Christmas tree and decorations . I feel like I just put all the holiday decorations away.
This is a trunk that sits behind a chair by the door, and is a spot that rarely ever gets changed, except for what is in the urn and that varies by season. Right now there are some very large faux acorns and fruit with a crackled finish.
The lamp is sitting on a reproduction set of the first set of encyclopedia britannicas ever published. - even the foxing, water marks, etc., was left on the pages when copied.
I would like to replace the trunk with a small table that won't take up as much floor space, but have not put a lot of effort into looking for one.
A book box I bought a couple of years ago in a shop in Franklin, TN.
I am linking up with Marty @ "Table Top Tuesday" http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/
Be sure and visit her to see what she and the other participants have to share this week.

Glenda, I love the finish of that trunk. Wood? It is so pretty. That should be out where others can enjoy it. I have an old one in a guestroom as a side table. Yours is much prettier.

I like how that lamp really lights up that corner, Glenda. And I like the trunk, you can make it into a coffee table...Christine

I really love your trunk and the vignette you have on it. Don't you just love books? Old, new it really doesn't matter! That was a beautiful necklace you made, loved the blue and black together! Thanks for visiting, as you can tell I'm trying to play catch up and visit with everyone. Have a blessed week.

Glenda, That truck is so pretty, and I'm sure it also gives you some valuable storage. Your vignette on top is so pretty. That book box is really nice, and I love the urn filled with Fallness. What was the first yr that Enc. Brit. was published? I have a full set of really old World Book Encyc. that I'm wondering where they are in relation to the "first". laurie

The trunk is magnificent, but I know they can take up a lot of space. I adore the book box. It is so unique, I would walk right in and want to handle it! Lovely and inviting. Nice to visit from Table Top Tuesday.

I love that lamp. I am sort of a lamp nut anyway. A strange thing to be drawn to, I'm sure, but I find the right lamp can really make or break a room both with lighting and style.

Wonderful old trunk. Wish we could see it in total. The cover on that book is so simple, yet quite intricate at the same time. Very nice vignette.

Glenda, I love the acorns you have in your bowl. They are so cute. I also love your book you showed us.

I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner. You're right, it seems like it was just YESTERDAY. Time seems to be FLYING! Or am we just getting OLD??? ;-)

Sheila :-)

Hi, I love that trunk. Hopefully you'll be able to utilize it somewhere else in your home. What great storage. Beautiful drawing on the book box too. You'll find just the right piece to fit there in that spot;-)

I just caught up a bit. I really like the necklaces you made. The one with the 43 is very unique. Your courtyard pictures were fun...I'll take spring! I love the black necklace with the earring on one side...it is just the right amount of bling to be interesting. As for your trunk/table, it looks nice the way it is. We spent an hour in the shops in Franklin yesterday morning...love that town!

LOVE those acorns! I like the chest, but you will know when you find the right thing if you want to replace it. I have been looking at your jewelery too--I am afraid I don't have that much patience! I love it!

I love your old trunk...I have one too and they do take up some floor space but I love to use mine for different vintage looking vignettes. I put mine on a lonely wall under a window and put two chairs on either side.
