When getting out the Christmas decorations, I ran across these little goodies that I bought for 90% off at HL after Christmas last year.
Don't you love it when you buy something, tuck it away, forget about it and then find it later? Almost like finding a gift. Well - maybe not.
Anyway....All my clear glass containers were either to large or to small for the red light bulbs, except this candy dish. They don't show up real well in it, but will do for now.
The tree is decorated, along with a few other places around the house. I tried taking more pictures today, but is a very gray, dreary day and I ended up deleting just about all of them.

I found a lot of ornaments I bought last year for pennies. Not sure what I will do with all of them. Some of the plastic ornies I was going to make a wreath...time will tell...lol.
Oh that looks so pretty Glenda. I was just thinking today I need a pretty mirrored tray...to display some Christmas items.
Glenda, I love the colored lights added to your candy dish. So glad to see them it reminds me that I want to get some, too. Yes it is fun finding things tucked away.
Those are the best surprises aren't they Glenda! You did good with those prices too. Your table centerpiece is stunning. Love it!

Kim

I love shopping after the holidays...you get the BEST prices. I picked up my printer/scanner/copier last year for $29. You got a great deal on your ornaments and bulbs. I love the tree/centerpiece in your header.
Toni
Paid only 10%? Now that's sooooo NIFTY THRIFTY...love those red lights!!!
Blessings,
Linda
I do love finding my after Christmas bargains. Although I have to say that this is went by so quickly that it seemed as if I had just bought them and packed them away.
I love that nut tree on your header!!
What a bargain on those bulbs and I love the way they look in the jar. 90%, hey, I would have bought all of them, stashed them away, forgot about them, and then they'd be antiques before I ever found them again. I need to get organized in the new year.
Thanks for your comments, I need to just walk away from my projects too.
Hugs
Glenda, you found some "great" bargains last year. I adore your tablescape on the mirror, so rich looking. hugs ~lynne~
I do love red! Those bulbs are so pretty and the color does stand out in the candy jar. I have bins and bins of Christmas decorations; in past years I would only go through a couple. This year I decided to go through each and every one, and I found all kinds of neat surprises! What fun!
love those ornaments! I might have to shop the clearance this year :-)
I love your centerpiece Glenda. Those surprises are always fun. Kind of like an early Christmas present.
Hi Glenda...
My friend, your Christmas centerpiece is really beautiful! I love how the red bulbs look in the glass candy dish...great idea! You sure did get a great buy! I always wait until after Christmas to buy...ohh, I love HL's 90% off sales! Hehe! I do the exact same thing as you...pack my new goodies away and it's opening Christmas the following year! Hehe!
Warmest Christmas wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

Glenda, Your mirror on the table is the reason I went out to find one last year! It just reflects all that pretty stuff you have on it. Love the pop of red in the wrapped candy dish! So very pretty. I just wanted to say that I always appreciate your coming by to visit and leaving me such sweet comments. I am so far behind right now in decorating for the holidays and getting back to people- I do apologize.
Oh- wanted to say that I bought a cross made out of old nails when I was in the husband's home town in Iowa this summer. Found it at an abbey- made by the good brothers. But mine was not "thrifty." LOL
I think it will make a nice part of a wedding present for our niece.

It IS so exciting when we unearth the yearly decorations and discover: oh yes, I remember buying this now! And it's still brand new!
Brenda
It all looks pretty and I am sure the tree looks just as pretty! I am ready to see it. I love the red bulbs, I need to go shopping for some bargain Christmas things this year.
It is fun to find stuff we bought and forgot about. I found some vintage Christmas stuff at an antique mall after the holidays last year and had completely forgotten about them....it was a happy little surprise. I love putting things in glass containers and the light bulbs look wonderful in the candy dish.
Jane
Glenda, what a great idea to display those bulbs in the candy dish! Those ornaments look beautiful. You really DID get some bargains! laurie
Oh honey, ya got a deal and a half there!!! I'm quite smitten with the little tree bulbs if ya ever tire of them...hint...hint. Just sayin'...
God bless ya and have a wonderful evening sweetie!!!
Thanks for the reminder, I have quite a few things I got on clearance last year...can't even remember what they are, other than aqua and some lime, I think.
Nothing better than a bargain!!! And you made it all come together perfectly!!!!
My Show n Tell is a Holiday post. Something my Husband made and I painted; Last Year! Here is the Link for you. Do stop by if you get a chance.
After Christmas is a great time for some really big savings, and you certainly did save on the bulbs and ornaments. The bulbs look so pretty in the center piece dish.
What a cute idea with the bulbs!! I found a box of "gifts" that I had bought after Christmas just in case I needed an extra one for someone. Well, I must have forgotten that I bought them because it was about 5 years ago!!! So I have a footed glass bowl, napkin rings and Christmas towels that are still new!!
Good Morning Glenda...Girl I love it when I find things I have bought and forgot ha ha!! I always have bags in my DR that just seem to fall there with stuff...did I tell you I'm a mini hoader ha ha!! I kid you not girl...I could have my own TV show..

I totally love after Christmas sales.I grew up in the midsouth and my sister still lives there so it holds a special place in my heart.
Oh I am so jealous, Glenda. Your centerpiece is so pretty and I have not started decorating at all. We just got back from a cruise late last night and I am still unpacking. I am so far behind!....Christine
Glenda,
So pretty! I love finding things I bought after Christmas last year. This year I am taking a picture of what I bought so I will remember what I did purchase.
Hugs,
Donna
I found some surprises that like when I got our decorations out too :) I love the bargains after Christmas!! Pretty ornaments!
Hello Glenda,
Yay! I love bargains. So glad you are done with your decorating, now just enjoy huh? Thanks for stopping by.
Glenda...this is such a great idea! Beautiful for any tablesetting! And what a deal you got!
Oh yes, Glenda, it is like finding a gift! One of the perks of not remembering! This year I intend to take a pic of everything I buy after Cmas, so I don't rebuy!
Glad you are almost done and now you can enjoy! I am so late this year, oh boy!
