What to do on a Very Hot Day ?

You stay inside - don't do anything you should be doing - instead pull out jewelry supplies and play! Things get messy !!!
Looking pretty good ??!!?! No........ Something is wrong here ????
Some extra countries appear to have popped up South/SW of the US and Mexico. Oooops !! The tiny globes were victims of water damage and it appears they developed rust spots that appear to be recently developed countries in that area. Don't know why I did not notice that until saw it in the pictures.
The globe is one of a pair as they were remnants of earrings, so switched them out. There is no longer the strange developed countries, but it seems the equator has developed a little rust! Oh well - We will just say it adds a vintage touch.

After I took the pictures, I switched the chain out and used a black one instead of the gun-metal one - just seems to work better.
So............ what do you do on days when it is to hot to go outside and play ?

I love this "around the world" necklace. Oh well, a little rust never hurt anything...adds character.
I'm with you. When it's too hot outside, just bring out the jewelry making supplies. We're going to be warming up this week, but hopefully only in the 80's.

I agree with you, I like the black chain better. It turned out beautifully - how fun! And what a great idea to recycle earrings. I have a ton in my drawer that I never wear. I might have to dig them out. Looks like you know how to beat the heat!

I love hearing about your granddaughter too, Addison is pulling up too and it makes this Grandma nervous sometimes!
Hugs and stay cool,
P.S. I actually have kind of liked this really hot weather although my hubby has hated it! hehe. He is full Norwegian heritage and I think they like cooler!

I thought the rust added some vintage charm to the globe. I do like the contrast of the balck chain. What a great way to beat the heat.

I stay inside and sew or quilt on these hot and miserable summer days. I am ready for Fall.
