Tons of Paper Work

Have You Seen Me ???
and phone calls and far from being over. Just thought I would "check in" so you would know I am still around. This is my first post in a week, but have tried to visit around when I got a chance this last week.

First: I want to say "Thank You So Very Much" for all your kind words you left in comments and emails. There are so many caring people out in "the land of blog".

My stack of storage containers and boxes did not make much of a "decorative" statement in my dining area, but they sure are missed. :( Only 2 are left and they had the least important things in them, and all of which could be easily replaced. The rest - Well a large portion of the items will never be replaced.
I miss my messy table..........

and the convenience of having my notebook laptop on the corner. Where I could hear the "ding dong" (or what ever that sound is), when an email came in.
A chipmonk came in the courtyard this morning to eat some of the hickory nut pieces the squirrels dropped, and I automatically reached for "the camera that is no longer there".
Hope to finish the insurance paper work soon and make some decisions on what to replace, etc .

Note of interest: None of the obvious finished pieces of jewelry were taken. I scratched my head and thought "do they look that bad" ?!?!. Then someone said - They were not taken because they are one of a kind and can be easily identified.
Make Note: Make sure your home/car, etc. is not broken into on a holiday weekend ! I know - not something you can control! Things have been crazy, calls were not returned in a timely manner, etc..

This has been a very trying experience.
Yes - The things taken are just that "things", and I am so thankful that I was not here when it happened.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Still, Glenda, you've been horribly violated. The sanctity of your home has been broken into. Your things rifled through. I'm amazed you're as together as you obviously are. I'm so very sorry this happened.

Glenda, it is a terrible thing to be burglarized. it only happened to us once, years ago, but it was awful -- even though nothing of tremendous value was taken, and our dog got them out of our house before they could take much.

But I didn't sleep for a month, I don't think. I am sending you BIG hugs -- I am so sorry for what you are going thru. Yes, no one was hurt, and for that we are thankful, but you STILL suffered an injury of a different sort. Let yourself feel those emotions!

Our homes are our refuges.
It's very creepy when that is violated.

Bless you! This is just a terrible thing to happen and how people can do this is beyond me. I hope they find who did this and hopefully some of your things will be returned.

This post made me so sad as you look back on what was once such a huge part of your everyday routine. It's all been such a nightmare and I pray for your continued strength to get through this.

Again, I'm so sorry. I hate this for you. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about you having to go through such a horrible situation. I really hope they catch those who are responsible. Maybe if you visit the local pawn shops and show them photos of your missing items they can be on the look out. Just a suggestion. I really wish there was something I could do. You poor thing. Hopefully the insurance company will reimburse you shortly.

Sending Big hugs,

It's so sad what people do without a thought of how it affects others. I hope your experience working with the insurance company is a good one and your claim is settled quickly, Glenda!

How horrible... I was reading along and trying to make sense of what you were saying. By the end I thought I had the answer so read the previous post. Goodness... I must say that I appreciate your attitude. I know this had to be awful but you sound so together... I pray for the return of your property, and your peace as you learn to trust again.

Blessings, Debbie

I'm glad you checked in. It is so hard to go through something like this and I hate it that you have to. It will get better.

Hi, Glenda! Thank you for taking the time to stop by blog in the midst of all your troubles. I'm glad to read this update and see that you're doing reasonably well dealing with the necessary claims and such. I have a bag of vintage pendants I don't plan to use - would you be interested in my sending some to you? My gift! :) Robyn
