Gingerbread Houses

I was out and about for several hours yesterday, and had planned to take pictures of outside decorations around the area, but traffic was heavy and I was always in the wrong lane to pull over, etc. So, this is a rerun of pictures I took 2 years ago of gingerbread houses where I attended a luncheon. I am sure many of you remember seeing them before.

Thanks for showing these again. I wish I had the hand strength that I use to have to make the gingerbread houses like I did 30+ yrs ago. Mine were never such works of art!

Oh what wonderful gingerbread castles and cottages! Perhaps I should consider making one again this year. It'll never be that sweet!

It amazes me how some people can create such wonderful art pieces. I doubt that I could make one out of graham crackers, icing, and gumdrops! LOL

I am always in such awe of gingerbread houses. I tried to make one with my kids...ONCE...and we had a sticky, slippery mess that was sliding all over the place. We gave up and I told the kids to just "dig in". We had a great time, but ended up with no house!

Those are adorable! I envy people who know how to make real gingerbread houses. The closest I've ever gotten are the Wilton premade ones you decorate.

One year a girl's mother made 2 gingerbread houses to give away in our class. I so wanted to win, but my name was not the the lucky one out of the hat.

I love gingerbread things of all kinds, so I enjoyed your pretty houses.

If you are interested, please take a look at my blog. I'm having a gingerbread party going on right now and would love for you to show off your houses there.

These sweet house are new to me. I wonder how many hours went into creating these tempting treasures. They sure don't look anything like my sad attempts. Thanks for sharing these Glenda.
