What To Do On a Gray, Dreary Day?

Well..........Guess I could go sit on the courtyard brick wall and watch the world go by. Neighborhood kitty seemed to think it was the right thing to do.

Or I could finish a necklace I started about a week and half ago, trying to decide if it needed something more...............

Nothing seemed to really click, so decided "less is more" and called it "done".
It is a combination of repurposed vintage and new materials. Don't know the age of the pendant as it was a gift. The wire wrapped glass beads are vintage - part of a necklace I bought many, many years ago, but have not worn in years, and the gun metal chain and toggle clasp are new.

Trying to decide if I want to sign up for a jewelry class coming up later this month.
Spent a lot of time on the phone. Seems a couple people I have not heard from in a while decided to "check and see what Dab of This and That is up to these days".
Worked on plans for a "Road Trip" - past due for one.
Answered door when neighbor came by - that was a mistake!!
Played on the computer for much to long.
Ate leftovers - To lazy to cook and did not get the pimento cheese made.
Watching "Downton Abbey" tonight - are you ?

What should I have been doing?? Lets just say I will be doing laundry, along with several other chores this next week.
How about you - What do you do on "a gray, dreary Winter day" ?

Have a great week!
Glenda

Love the necklace. You were wise not to add anything more. It's perfect just the way it is. Absolutely beautiful!

If I am happy I spend too much time on the pc and I make mini. Otherwise I spend too much on the pc and drink litres of tea while browsing on my favourite mags.
Best wishes, Rosanna

I love the necklace. I really think that less is more sometimes especially when you want to show off a pretty pendant like yours. Don't want too much going on.
Cats sure have the life, or 9 of them I should say. Sleep, eat, play, people watch all day.
I finished up a couple pieces of jewelry this morning and did paperwork for my resale license return...what a mess.
A road trip sounds like a great idea!

It's beautiful! My daughter dabbles with jewelry making, so I will have to show her your work. Inspiring!

I actually had great intentions yesterday. I was inspired to clean, organize and start working on tax stuff. So, after running a few errands and picking up some organizer things for my desk, I came home and had a late lunch, gave the puppy a bath...wrapped her in a blanket on my lap...and that was the end of my day pretty much. Nothing like a warm, sleeping puppy in your lap to ruin your energy level!

I'd love to take time to count the bricks:)

Yesterday I was still taking down Christmas - the tree's still up today I'm trying not to over do and stress over getting it all done quickly.

Back to work today and didn't do a darn thing after work but some yoga.

Enjoy your week and creating that beautiful jewelry!

I actually enjoy a day where I can get things done. We've been having way too much nice weather to stay in the house lately but that looks like it's changing drastically tomorrow with 7-9 inches of snow predicted! I'll probably use my 'down time' to catch up with fellow bloggers :)

Pretty necklace!

You could come here and we would have a paint party! Yes, I would give you your very own paint brush, roller, ladder, and make you feel right at home, lol. It is dark and dreary here too, and has been for days, so, why not paint? Anyhoo, I love the necklace!

Beautiful piece, Glenda! Rainy, dreary days make me tired. On top of the fact I have been sleeping poorly this week. I usually like to stay in but I had to run out twice, but then did a project myself. I did give myself props for at least checking to make sure I didn't have to do any laundry other than putting clean clothes away. : ) Then I made sauce. I usually like to read or do something creative on days like this. We have snow in our forecast come tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping to have enough to keep me busy in the house.
