Sharing Some More of Daughter's Creations..

I Am Craving.......

As I sit her typing, it is 29 degrees with a wind chill of 18, and  sleeting.  I am craving  this type of view outside my door....
Spring 2009
Spring 2010
I am craving  certain foods lately also.  Take my word - No !!! I am NOT expanding my family!!!

I know what the problem is - I have to restrict certain things in my diet and I eventually start craving them - especially salty foods.

One in particular,  a hot pastrami on rye with  brown mustard and a couple of barrel cured   dill pickles.
Many moons ago (in the middle ages), I use to have one on occasion for lunch at a small deli that had some wonderful food.   I have not had that in so many years, mainly due to the salt content.  But for some reason I have been craving it lately and not sure I know of a good place to get one  now.
Watched a  show on the food channel a while back that featured a place serving hot pastrami sandwiches that had 2 1/2 to 3 ins. or more of pastrami on the sandwich - nope!  I just want a normal sandwich with a stack about a inch high on rye, with a bit of a good brown mustard and of course,  a crock of barrel cured pickles on the table.  That will do just fine.....

Another craving I have had lately - A small hole in the wall type lunch/grill place I went to frequently for lunch many years ago,  had a wonderful, grilled hot dog.  Actually it was like a combination of smoked sausage and hot dog, with  just a bit of coleslaw and yellow mustard, and  served with the barrel cured  dills.  Two different cities, years apart but the memories are there.
And the wonderful stuffed lobster  dinner I had  about a week before I had my first child and guess what was sitting on the table?!?  A crock full of barrel cured dill pickles on the table !!  Got up the next morning with swollen fingers and ankles.
See a pattern here ??  Those great pickles - well the other food also!

Yep! Craving  the kind of things I should not eat.
Oh and see that ray of sunshine in the top right corner...
Spring 2010
I am craving a healthy dose of that also !!
Just another Dab of This and That ramble......
Have a great week!

Nope - Have Not Lost My Marbles -

Yet.......
To cold to get out and not interested in doing housework - What to do!?!
Get the jewelry supplies out!  Yes - they have been missing for a while...
I have had good intentions for some time to "attempt"  to make pendants/necklaces out of some vintage, cats eye marbles that have a family connection, and decided it was a good time to start the project.  First you have to set up an assembly line of gluing  bead caps to the marbles.   Then you clean up the mess, peel the glue off your fingers,  and  wait 24 hours before you can work with the marbles with their bead caps attached.....
Added a couple of yellow ones and a white one to the mix.  Others will have to wait, as ran out of the right kind of bead caps, and was not interested in getting out in the cold.  Then the fun begins and things really get messy

Cloudy day (good excuse), so pictures not that great....

The project is more one of assembling the necklaces instead of designing, and  not a lot of bling involved due to most of the ages of the recipients.
So what do you do when it is to cold to play outside and don't want to work around the house?
