Today's Thrifty Treasure

Time for "Today's Thrifty Treasures" hosted by Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality http://southernhospitalityblog.com/ Thank you Rhoda for hosting this weekly event.

Did not go to any sales this week, so did not think I had any thrifty treasures to share this week. Then I remembered this little table I bought at a yardsale several weeks ago. Solid wood and only $2.00, I could not pass it up. Looks a little rough at this point, but a little paint will take care of that. Not sure what color I will paint it , as I don't know where I will be putting it just yet.

That is my contribution to "Today's Thrifty Treasure".

If you have not already, go over to visit Rhoda to see what she and the others have to share this week.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend.

9/8/09 Tues. ETA: Forgot about the chandelier I bought at a moving sale last week, and remembered it when I stumped my toe on it this morning. :-) A post for another time.

Hi Glenda!! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
You asked about the man and woman shapes on my bathroom door! I replied on my blog comments but just in case you dont see it, here's a copy n paste!

GLENDA: Aren't they adorable? They're made of chipboard and are from a scrapbook company called Maya Road. They come on a little keychain type thing. They're super cheap too!!
I bought it here: http://justcre8store.com/store/product.php?productid=17103&cat=856&page=1
It's a Canadian store but they ship in the US too! But I know you can find it elsewhere too, just do a google search for Maya Road Chipboard Keychain People!
HTH!!
(Oh, I just added brown ink to them to match my decor!!)

I love the table you found! I like finding pieces that the previous owner has customized! I rarely, if never, keep it that way, but it's nice to know the piece was loved enough to paint to fit their decor, kwim? It's a cute table as is, but I know with the type of touch we (meaning us decorating freaks lol) can give it, it'll be stunning! I cant wait to see (and since you're in my google reader, I will!)

Cute table. I know that many times I forget that I have other items in my house I can use for Thrifty Monday, but then again I need an excuse to go out and treasure hunt some more!

Hey I like that table -- great lines, and someone spent a lot of time carefully painting it! Do you have plans for it yet?

I laughed at your stumbling on the chandelier. It conjures up images of you groping around a house piled up with thrift stuff just waiting to be rejuvenated and turned into miraculous things!
