Show and Tell Friday

I am linking to "Show and Tell Friday" hosted by Cindy @ http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ Thanks Cindy for hosting again this week.

Had not planned a post for today, but since today has turned into a "hurry up and wait" type of day, thought I would share a storage or "hide my mess" solution. I nearly always have a stack of papers on the corner of my dining table, as I usually sit at the table to make out my famous "to do" lists, grocery list, pay bills, etc. That is the first thing a person sees when they come in the door - not very pretty. So went to Michaels for something not to long ago and they had these pretty book boxes on sale. Now I can keep all that paper "stuff" hidden in the box. No big deal - just looks a little neater. I already had a large wooden book box that I got at Bombay Co. years ago. Remember them? But it is on an antique desk, full of other things. A smaller one (not big enough), that I bought at The Iron Gate in Franklin. Love that store, but I could do some serious damage to my bank account in there. Any way, now I can just close the lid to hide the paper and/or just pick it up and move elsewhere when needed at meal time.

Be sure to visit Cindy to see what she and the other participants have to share this week.
Seeing the pineapple reminds me I need to cut that this weekend.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I love book boxes; such pretty solutions for small clutter. I'd need a HUGE one to tackle my kitchen paper clutter; wonder where I can get one of them? :-)

Pretty post!

What a great idea Glenda! Seems everywhere you look it's about organization these days. I'm trying but it's not happening quite as quickly as I'd like.

Hi Glenda! I haven't been around lately so I've been catching up on all your blogs I missed! I love your idea with the book box! It's so pretty! Your jewelry looks beautiful! You need to give me some lessons! I'm sorry you're having trouble with unwanted visitors. I have a question..where is that consignment shop? I'd love to go. We've had some unwanted excitement around here...my husband passed out at work and ended up in the ER and another day in the hospital running all kinds of tests. He's home now and they still don't know why he passed out. I will tell you I think it's stress! Our 21 and 17 yr. old are really giving us fits to put it mildly. Hope I'm not revealing things I shouldn't but I'd appreciate any prayers sent our way! God Bless! Lauralu :)
