Dab of This and That

THIS IS WHAT I GOT UP TO THIS MORNING ! 4 TO 5 ins of "that fluffy white stuff!!
Photobucket
I have to admit - It was beautiful to look at while I drank my morning coffee and checked my email. It was a good thing I was not taking a drink of coffee when I read one email that said and I quote "The Saints win and H-ll freezes over" - You know who you are! :-D If I had been drinking coffee when I opened the email, I would have had to clean the monitor off! :-) But it was a good way to start the day -with a laugh!! Thanks!
I know - We did not get it as bad as the ones who got the blizzard, but I am tired of Winter. I am ready for 75 to 80 degree temps and SUNSHINE !
Some may remember this primrose in a past post of mine.
Photobucket
Well - Look at it now! The new blooms are a different color.

Do primroses normally do this? I don't remember ever having one to change like this one.
AN OBSERVATION: Why do so many Lean Cuisines taste alike?
VENT: Please DO NOT put me on a speaker phone when you are talking to me on the phone! Just saying.

DON'T FORGET: Laurie @ Bargain Hunting(and Chatting) With Laurie is hosting a Valentine Party on Feb. 12th. http://bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com/
Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life is hosting a Cloche Party on Feb. 19th. http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/

Hi Glenda!

Sorry to hear you are so put off by the white fluffy stuff. Sure wish it would head up this way instead but it appears the mid-atlantic is going to get a heap more!

I'm guessing the reason your plant flowered much paler the second time around is a nutrient issue. It probably needed fertilizer when it started growing new buds. That's just my guess.

Happy Monday!

Oh Glenda, your primroses look beautiful! The snow does look pretty outside your window - as long as you don't have to go out in it. Thanks so much for mentioning the V'tine party! Stay warm. laurie

Your primrose is just beautiful. The perfect touch of spring. I am like you...I need the warm temperatures of spring. Hopefully it will be here soon!

We are going to wake up to that tomorrow morning:(

I agree about the Lean Cuisine...I think it is the peppers.

I've never seen a flower do that...very pretty!

The snow is even due to head back to southern France over the next few days! I have never seen a primrose change colour like that either - I think the new colour is even prettier though!

Hi Glenda,
Those are some beautiful flowers! Flowers can help me deal with the nasty weather. You are as cold as us today. Hang in there, you'll see spring before me. Hugs, Cindy

When I was out taking the photos of that little evergreen yesterday morning, it was 6 degrees. I said to myself, what am I doing!!LOL At least the sun helps.

I think if we had the snow and cold with the grey sad days we had in November and December I wouldn't be able to take it as easily. Living in NE MO, I've seen worse snowstorms and the Mid Atlantic states have really caught it.

We haven't been snowed in, in 11 years. That was when we were in the back pasture at the farm and couldn't get out for four days...in fact no one could get in either! Lots of wind and drifting snow on that one.

We're having a heatwave this morning...it's 20, as I type!LOL

Hi Glenda

I know what you mean about the white fluffy stuff. Pretty to look at from the inside, but boy is it heavy to shovel 24+ inches!

Stay warm

Hi Glenda. What pretty flowers. I have never seen a change in color like that? Could it be the soil? Maybe more of a certain nutrient in it? Hmm? I am looking forward to spring as well. It's been terribly cold in my part of Texas. Come on spring. :)
Blessings,
Sandra

I just bought a few Primrose as well and they are the exact same color as yours……too funny! My fiancĂ©e loved them so much he wanted some for his office so we actually found more at Tom Thumb (grocery store) of all places. They were much cheaper than the ones I bought. I think I paid almost $4 for each and he paid $3 for 2. I want to go back and get more so I can put them all though our house!

Hi Glenda,

Regarding the bath salts: While the food coloring does color the water, it doesn't color the skin. Magic?

Your primrose looks happy! I have mine out on the window sill getting some rays, it was looking a little sad in the kitchen window...I should go search how to care for it. LOL
Thanks for stopping by!!!
