Flea Market Finds

In my last post I wrote about my trip to the flea market, so thought I would share a few of the things I bought there. I have no intentions of starting a collection - still cleaning out things I have now. However, I found these 2 tiny spoons and started thinking how I can use them in jewelry, so they came home with me. They are by NILS JOHAN and when I researched them, replacements ltd. has them listed as silver plated, demitasse $9.99, and individual salt spoon $9.99. I paid $4 each. Not real sure what I will do with them - Start a spoon collection ( a spoon collection won't take up much room will it? ) or turn them into jewelry. :-D

I also bought a grab bag of jewelry odds and ends (and a lot of junk) for $20. After getting it home, I found I had a couple of surprises included. This necklace and earrings (bears with Santa hats) both are marked 925 (sterling).
Clicks picture to enlarge.
Also in the bag was this dog pin with green rhinestones - not my style, but decided to do a little research as it was marked Gerry's Co.. Found 2 listings on ebay - One "Buy it Now" @ $14.95 and another starting @ $4.95 - wide range there!
There was more in the grab bag, and I am still cleaning, sorting , and salvaging usable parts when I have time. Just thought I would share my latest finds with you.
This week I will be linking up with:

Those silver spoons would look great framed on burlap! I saw that on a blog and it was beautiful, she had a chunky frame she painted white, elevated the spoons to new art heights!

Regarding the goat cheese, have you tried goat cream cheese? We get it at Costco, it is creamy and does not have the bite like the hard cheese. Give it a try, you just might change your mind!

I think grab bags are fun...if there is at least one good surprise in them. It looks as if you did well.

Our weather is all over the place. I've been down with a migraine all day...a front came through and left us with very heavy air...93 tomorrow, my head is like a barometer!

Hi Glenda,
I love rummaging around and a grab back is perfect for that! You found some nice things, and silly ones, too. The doggy pin is something my girls would have loved when they were younger!
I appreciate you dropping by and always leaving a comment, you are a sweetie! Thanks so much.

A spoon collection won't take up hardly any room so great idea. I love collecting old silverware. The doggy pin is so cute.

I can't believe how hot it gets in the afternoon. I also can't believe that I still have to run the air conditioner at the end of Sept!!

Those little spoons are so beautiful. I'm a sucker for old cutlery, even when it needs to be cleaned & shined often (which never gets done in my house!).

Thanks for visiting my blog. And nice to find you. I'll be back!

The spoons and jewelry are wonderful. There is nothing like discovering the burried treasures in a good "poke sack"! BTW... I, too, find myself gravitating to the smalls as it gets harder and harder to find room for the same treasure I once searched out.

Who would have thought that such treasures could be found in a grab bag?
The salt spoon is lovely, I see a collection starting to form already.

Oh I would definitely start collecting silver spoons now! Easy to store and display....
I hope your electrical/phone problems get rectified. I had issues last fall with the gas company. I was the only one calling- I guess everyone else in the neighborhood figured that somebody else would do it! Sheesh...
It's still warm here, too. We have gorgeous days that are cooler then days when we are in the 90's. Yup, the air is still on!
