Trees of Spring

Flowering trees are always so pretty this time of the year. I took these pictures a week ago, and they are probably all green by now.
See the goose in the middle picture? It was by its self, which is unusual. I see a lot of geese in this area, and they always seem to run in twos. Several times I have seen traffic come to a complete stop, while a couple leisurely stroll across a busy street or parking lot. They seem unfazed by the moving vehicles or people trying to get them to move on.

I had plans to finish cleaning out the flower beds this weekend, but our warm temps and sunshine went South. It is a chilly, gray, dreary, rainy day, and looks like mostly the same for the next few days.

Have a great day !
Glenda

Those geese are going to give me a heart attack! My husband gives me the stinkeye every time I stop traffic and get out of the car to make sure the little honkers don't become flattened!
I do it for the toads too! LOL!
Lovely photos. I cannot wait to see the trees in bloom up here by Chicago!

You took these a week ago? We don't even have buds yet! I am so envious! Gorgeous photos, Glenda : )

*It's 30 degrees here right now and will drop down to the teens tonight.

The trees are beautiful Glenda. We were just talking about seeing the beautiful Wisteria, in TN, last year during April.

On our way home this morning, wondering if we have snow on the ground. Friends who live south of St Louis have snow on the ground this morning, but it is melting fast. We had snow sleet and rain yesterday, here at the lake, no sign of it today.

Are trees were just getting ready when the Loed sent snow and cold, I hope they pull out of it. Thanks for sharing. Richard at My Old Historic House

It's still so chilly and damp here that the blossoms are way behind. Of course the 'up' side of that is that we will have a marvelous display to go with our late Easter.

Gorgeous shots! We have buds starting which is hopeful! And plenty of geese. They do tend to stroll leisurely and stop traffic :)

I love flowering trees! My mother has a pair of apple trees that are so enchanting when they bloom. It's like spring snow falling from the branches! We won't see blooms (or even buds) for a while longer though!

Very pretty mosaic...I'm surprised by your saying that all these trees are probably already green. The lone goose...I have a poor neighbor with forty on his front lawn. He's at least hoping for a very green lawn this year.

Hi Glenda!
I like your mosaic and that does seem odd to see a goose all by itself. Have a great week!

Beautiful mosaic,

Oh my, we are a few weeks away from flowering trees yet! These are beautiful! ANd yes, we have some geese that nest at the edge of a busy road every year... and my heart is always in my throat when I see them crossing the road with their little ones! :)

So beautiful Glenda!
I'm sceered for that poor goosey. They mate for life don't they? I hope he/she didn't loose their other half *sniffle sniffle* Or maybe just a teen and hasn't found Mrs/Mr right...That's what I'm hoping for *winks* Vanna

I wish flowers lasted more on the trees... now they are beautiful in my corner of the world, but I haven't managed to shoot them, so... must hurry up!
Your pics are beautiful, and so is the mosaic. It invites to spend more time outdoors!
Thank you, Glenda!

Beautiful flower trees, weather has been so cold here. No chance to get and do any gardening. Have a wonderful week and take care.

I just love it when the trees are in bloom. Our aren't yet and I'm worried that our current freezing temperatures may have hurt the buds. I will be so disappointed if ours don't flower. Your photos are so pretty.

Thank you for sending over a touch of your spring, geese and all! Poor little things, just minding their own business and enjoying the spring day. Sorry to hear that your weather took a wrong turn:) Ours is actually looking better this morning, but I won't put my winter clothes away just yet. Have a great week Glenda, and I'm looking forward to seeing your latest creations.

We are dreary and wet here too which is making it really hard for my oil-base paint to dry. The pics of the trees are beautiful. It sure was easy to get spoiled to all of the warmth and beauty, wasn't it. Oh well, it will be here to stay when it is meant to be. Have a great week.

Hi Glenda, we have a group of geese that visit each year. Like the one in your photo we have one sitting on a nest. Somewhere close by is always the watch dog of the group, I call him the loner. Many time you have to really look for him, but he's their somewhere. This evening I saw deer in the front yard so rushed out to take pictures. I haven't uploaded them yet, hoping they turn out. Your flowering trees are gorgeous, it's still too cold here for any of those gorgeous blooms, hopefully soon. hugs ~lynne~

Strange that the goose is all by itself. Perhaps it lost its mate over the winter. See you next week.
