Remember this post?

"Somebody Moved"
Well...... probably not. However, the following pics will give you an update on what is going on.....
Before
In progress.....
Click on pics to enlarge.

If I remember correctly, the upper cabinets will be white.
Right now they are limited as to what they can do because of the drastic weather conditions, as they can't open windows when painting or take anything outside to paint. They will take a section at a time and not get in a hurry.  Yes - that is a big kitchen and a lot of cabinets.  I reminded her how many cabinets are in that kitchen,  if they decide they are tired of the color later - but they said that is what they wanted. Can you tell - I don't like to paint ?!? :)
****Will update as they progress with "a major project".****
I will sit back, smile and say "I remember when"!  My first set of kitchen counter canisters were turquoise, a wedding gift in that era was a set of 3 matching pyrex bowls, 2 with the same turquoise color (one did not survive over the years). Remaining have been passed on to her.
What were the poplar color choices after that era?!?!?  Glad they did not go that route!  Lets forget the olive green, harvest gold, and copper tone!

Not sure if my first comment came thru so I'm gonna give it another try.
The cabinets will be lovely and I love the color!
I had the mushroom canisters when I married. And the "color" was olive green ... ugh!

that kitchen has great potential and the cabinets are going to be fabulous in that color. I love that color! is it Annie Sloane duck egg blue paint?

I do remember the prior post, in awe of the size of that kitchen! Good thing they're not in a hurry, it's probably gonna take a while:)

What a project! They will be so happy when it's done. Even though I prefer natural wood, painted cabinets can really brighten a dark kitchen.

They will be so happy when it's done! I can just tell how much it will brighten it in there.
We had a ton of cabinets too, but I am lucky, my hubby loves to paint!
Oh yes, I remember those old canisters, I am pretty sure my Mom had some.
Stay warm.

Painting kitchen cabinets is a huge undertaking! I know, I painted mine a couple years ago. The color is pretty and I'm sure they will be beautiful when finished. Thanks for sharing this at What We Accomplished Wednesdays! Have a super week!
