She settled right in and found it was fun to learn, and play with new friends, etc.. She did learn real quick - if the teacher says don't throw the pea gravel on the playground, that is just what she meant. Ooops!! School lunches have been an adjustment - I think pizza day and chicky nuggets with fries day are her favorites. So Mom makes sure she eats a healthy breakfast and dinner at home.
She recently enjoyed going to a friends home who has chickens, and when feeding time came she knew what to do ( hope Mom has a good formula for removing grass stains out of those shorts).
then off to gather the eggs.

Remember "Bill" who showed up last Winter looking for free meals, and a warm place to sleep? Well - he is still around and stays around daughter's feet when she is outside. I told her he knows who runs the "chow wagon" around there. He earns his keep, as he has been keeping the moles in their yard under control.

Another beanie hot off the needles. Think she said this yarn is called farmers market.

She sure is growing up fast and is just as cute as ever!
What a cutie redhead! My granddaughter just started PreK and got in trouble for not listening the second day! The teachers are saints, aren't they?
What a darling redhead! My Laynee started PreK this year. She's doing pretty well. I went in one day this week for Grandparent's Breakfast and she had a total meltdown when I left. So, hopefully, that won't happen again.
Have a great weekend.

Hello, cute shots of your red-headed cupid. I like teh chicken feeding shot. The first days of school are hard for the moms. My son is almost 23 so it has been a long time since the first day of school. But, I know I was a nervous wreck. Love the pretty beanie. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
She is really having great time.
Adorable mosaics of your granddaughter. Glad she adjusted quickly. The Farmer's Market beanie looks just like fall. Very nice!
It's amazing how quickly they grow up! Such a cutie :) Glad to hear she's adjusting well to school.
Kids always seem drawn to the chickens especially if they get to feed them, collecting eggs is a bonus for your granddaughter.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday Glenda.
Sweet post and shots of the Redhead Cupid ~ I have a niece with wonderful red hair ~ my Mom, Grandmother and Aunt had red hair ~ I just got red highlights ~ not the full reds that I adored in my family ~
Happy Week to you,

Too bad the Red Headed Cupid can't stay this little. She is adorable but time marches on. Keep those photos coming.
