This is a picture of the first doll house I put together from a kit (and will be the last). It is the one I gave to one of my Granddaughters in 2005. These pictures were taken in 2002, with one of those one time cameras and are not real great. When I tried to enlarge them, they became blurry. Can't retake them as I no longer have the house, and the furnishings are packed up waiting for me to finish the inside of the San Franciscan that I am working on (at the rate I am going, that may be never). You can see from the opening in the upstairs hallway, I never installed the stairs, also never installed the front door .

The walls appear crooked, but they are not as you can tell in the above picture.
Kitten with the turned over pail of milk and Mother cat chasing a mouse. There is a tiny bird in the birdcage.

Hope you enjoyed the tour.
Be sure and visit Chari to see what she and other participants have to share this week.
Have a great week!

ETA: Took the pics off of CD and reuploaded them at a larger size than what was on the original post - still blurry, but a little bigger.

aw----what a good grandmother you are.i don't know if i could even do it or not...ann
Ann,
Thanks for visiting, and your nice compliments. When I gave the house to my Granddaughter, I gave her some basic furniture, more child friendly. As a matter of fact, some of it belonged to her mother when she was little. :) I kept most of what I had in the house and it will go in the San Franciscan when I finish the inside.
What granddaughter wouldn't love this? It is adorable.. I know you put alot of hard work into it.. the memories will be priceless..
hugs ~lynne~
Nice. Beautiful. Very thoughtful.
Beautiful! I love dolls houses too!! I was given one in a poor state from a friend, I have to finish to renovate it (and it's NOT a great job for my hands!), then I will post some pics!
Have fun with yours!
Monica.
Hello Glenda...
A big, hearty welcome to Sunday Favorites, my friend! I'm just tickled pink to have you join in with us today!!!
Ohhh my...your dollhouse is truly spectacular!!! I can't imagine the time that you have spent on this...but it sounds like so much fun! I would love doing one...just like decorating a big house but you can really go all out here!!! I spent several minutes admiring each room...ohh, all the details are just amazing! Right down to that sweet little blue birdcage in the kitchen!!! I was wondering where you get the furniture from?
My friend, thank you so much for sharing this sweet treasure with us for Sunday Favorites! What a sweet treat! Ohhh, and I bet your Granddaughter is just having sooo much fun with her dollhouse made special for her by Grandma!
Again...welcome to Sunday Favorites, Glenda!

You have more cool stuff in that doll's house than I have in my own real house. Lol.
I would have played with that constantly as a child if I were ever so lucky to have one.
Absolutely adorable! You can come and build my dollhouse anytime. It's been sitting in the box for years.
What a wonderful gift for your granddaughter to enjoy for years and then hand off to her daughter! Beautiful!
Glenda, I want to move in! That is just the cutest thing. Every detail is there (well, except stairs!!). laurie
Amazing amount of work on this. I'm sure your granddaughter loved this. What a treasure!
Oh wow, what an amazing dollhouse -- so much detail! I love it.
I have always wanted to "fuss" with a dollhouse, but never have done so. If my girls every give me granddaughters, maybe I will be inspired!

This is AWESOME! What a lot of work!! I'm sure your grand daughter LOVES it and the others are jealous!!! I think I'd have been tempted to keep it for myself as a display piece.
Thanks so much for posting the pictures. I really enjoyed the tour. You did a wonderful job! I have always wanted a dollhouse like that but my husband does not want to help me. It would be out of question for me to try one by myself. Congratulations to you and I know your granddaughter is proud to be the owner.
How lovely! Where do you find all those little miniature items? I looked high and low for miniature furniture to place inside and birdcage and I still haven't found any.
Thanks for sharing, have a great Sunday.

Oh wow!! This is amazing. This post means a lot to me too because as a little girl I wanted one of these SOOO badly! How special this is, truly.
this is the greatest gift ever! what a great job you did for her! I would have loved this as a child!
Honestly Glenda I don't know how you had the patience. Or the time! I could never put together something like that and still be sane. My mom could, but I couldn't. Good for you!
